Pit Stop Bbq

The place looks clean from comfort room to the eating area. They have a cute collection of the plate numbers. Decent amount of chairs inside and it appear they had an outside sitting but we were not able to see that during our visit. The staff were nice and easy to talk to. Food was good - the boar, you have this cheesy sausage, brisket and ribs that meat fall easily partnered with the sides you choose. I had coleslaw and their creamy corn but for me it didn’t match BUT a simple corn will actually be a good one as the bbq have a lot of taste already and I don’t think so that needs to add more. The Jackalope was just so good that can’t stop eating am not sure if it was supposed to be spicy but it’s not. We also had the two soft drinks and it was really good especially the root beer. This place is a gem. Hopefully to get back soon too.

Delicious! We were just traveling through the area and stopped to try Pit Stop BBQ. It was so tasty, we ended up stopping on our way back through again about a week later! We got the BBQ Nachos and they were incredible. 10/10 would recommend and we will be going again when traveling through the area!

Service: It was phenomenal. Very friendly 2 person staff. They definitely seemed to care about their customers and quality of food. Food: OMG, very moist, flavorful, and mouth watering. We ordered Two 3 meat combination plates with baked potato for a side. The potato was soft and lots of toppings with real crispy bacon. We now know why the potato substitutes as 2 sides with the plate meal. It was a TX sized potato. The brisket was thick but juicy and the touch of meat to marbling ratio was perfect. The jalapeno cheese sausage was the right amount of heat and juicyness. The ribs were fall off the bone. The barbecue sauce was the right amount of sweet and savory. This is a gem located about 1/2 mile off of I-10 in Sonora, TX.

Would have given a 5 star but when you are served banana pudding to go that has rotted bananas and I’m a cook and know how fast bananas turn this wasn’t the problem. They should have never served the banana pudding with these rotted bananas in them. It wasn’t like we could go back and get a refund because we were traveling thru town. Staff needs to be mindful of the foods they serve. Other than that the BBQ Nachos were good. Their BBQ brisket and ribs are great. Pulled pork wasn’t as good as the Brisket. But overall a good place to eat.

Service: the person who took my order seemed to hate life but wasn’t necessarily rude. The workers wore masks which made me feel safe. Food: the smoked brisket was really good and it was not dry. The pickles were good and salty. The potato salad was good as well, i tasted the mustard in it which was a bit overpowering of other flavors. The chips were as expected. The white slice of bread was as I remember any ole slice of bread to taste. It would have gotten 5 stars except the BBQ sauce they have on the tables did not taste like what they use on the brisket itself. The one on the brisket was delicious, the one on the table tasted more vinegary than sweet. Location: not terrible, it’s next to a general dollar Building: well maintained and clean, the bathroom was really clean which I liked.
