Ask Italian

I went here for my son's 2nd birthday, as we went for a day out and the children's menu looked nice. We ordered for my son, a starter of carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, bread sticks and a dip, for main course a pepperoni pizza and a fruit salad and meringue for dessert. I then ordered a portion of olives for starter, to swap with my son (he absolutely adores them!! And I had his dip!) They politely but efficiently placed us over the quieter/emptier side of the restaurant (which I didn't mind at all, as it means I can play with my son as much he needs without feeling we're disturbing other diners too much!). Food orders were taken promptly and did brought out okay, the only slight annoyance here was when the main was brought out as my son was still eating his starter, but we had spent a while munching our way through it, so it's only a slight annoyance, as anyone else was probably starving at this point 😂 The waiting staff were very friendly with my son and brought him crayons and a colouring sheet, as well as playing a game of peak-a-boo. All in all a very pleasant meal, especially as it can be stressful trying to eat out whilst single parenting (when not used to it!).

Had a nice time here tonight. Very accommodating with great food and spot on service. We had an 8 month baby with us, ASK Italian were able to provide high chair and hot water to warm our granddaughter's food. There's a baby change too, just needed to ask where it was as it's not signed... that we could see at least. Waiter was really good, friendly and understanding. We had some dietary requirements and a low key birthday, all sorted without further ado. Our food arrived in a good, timely manner and all just as we had ordered when it came to our table. All told, great food, lovely ambiance, perfect service, all at at an acceptable price, just what we were after. Thanks all at ASK Italian, Solihull

Visited with my partner and baby son staff are always friendly very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is always great value for money aswell. They provided colours an paper for my son to occupy himself with, complimentary shot of in house lemonade to cleanse the pallet before food I presume. All in all a nice simple place to have a bite to eat .

Really nice meal, we were there as a group of 14 for a birthday. Naturally food took a while but all came within the space of 2 or 3 minutes. The staff even took my home made birthday cake, put a candle on it and brought it out with small plates at the end. They didn't mind that no one ordered dessert as we all had cake.

Had a lovely experience here. The food was some of the best chain Italian we've had recently, and service was very good. Can't quite give 5 stars simply because the food, although good was slightly under seasoned (presumably not the fault of the chefs so much as the way the food is produced). But the best Ask I've been in for several years (and the chain is pretty dependable).
