Parente's Restaurant

Drove by this place many times and parking lot usually has lots of cars so we decided to try it. This Saturday there was hardly any cars. Upon entering, the decor is old and musty. We both ordered meatball sandwiches and fries. My husband had a garden salad. The salad was basically just lettuce (and very little of it). No other veggies. Meatballs were dry and had no flavor. Fries were good. The waitress basically had little interest in her job or waiting on us.

I've only had the fish and chips at Parente's and they're excellent! Their fish batter is perfectly matched with their delicious flaky fish, not a thick heavy batter, just right! They have a small portion plate that I always get and still have enough to bring home for a second meal. Also important to me is not too salty; everything just right!

I went to this establishment as part of a group. The food was brought out in a buffet style to accommodate for the large group I was in. We received salad, pasta, pizza, and sausage, onions and peppers. The food was reminiscent of frozen & bagged food. The pizza had an off taste to it. The service from what appeared to be the owners was very strange and disorganized. I have no desire to visit this place on my own terms.

One of the worst meals I've ever had. Ordered steak tips with scallops, came out cold and overcooked. I told my waitress I didn't get my soup she replied 'It"s coming out I just couldn't carry it all at once." Why wouldn't they send it out BEFORE my meal? Place was full of collage kids which didn't matter till 2 of them started staring us down for the booth. They also charges 3% to use your credit card (which I think should be illegal). Im already giving them my business, I don't want to pay to give it to them. When they agreed to take credit cards they accepted the fees I didn't

My first time there and it started with me pulling in and seeing that someone was having car trouble’s and needed a jump start which I was happy to help….but once I was in the bar the bar tender was more concerned with chatting with her friends and even after she seen me standing there with money in my hand….she decided to go out for a cigarette. As I was leaving I seen an older gentleman sitting at the door and I asked him if he worked there, he said kinda….I then asked him if he was the owner and he said yes. I then told him that the bartender was more concerned with chatting with her friends and going to smoke than taking care of the customers….all he did was shrug his shoulders…..HORRIBLE service and won’t suggest this place to anyone.

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and the food isn’t great but it isn’t bad either. The other day I was in there with some friends and ordered a salad for myself to go along with the sandwich. Everyone else’s food had to come out and I was waiting for my sandwich. After what seemed like an eternity the waitress finally came back and I said you didn’t give me my sandwich. She did not apologize for having forgotten my entire meal but instead said “You should see how bad the kitchen messed up another table’s order”. Do two wrongs make a right? Should I ever go back to this place? If not for a friend living in the area I would not recommend this place to anybody else they charge you 3% for using a credit card and forget about your food. F-
