Refuel Ii

A tiny gem well hidden in the under-the-radar Bukit Merah! This is truly one that deserves a spotlight and worth the trip. The service crew was prompt, attentive despite during the lunch crowd. The ice cold black coffee offered a sooth respite from the hot weather. The fish & chips was lovely while the mac & cheese nicely done. Will be back to try more of the menu. #andrewtanatomisingapore

Came here for the 1st time specially for coffee and dessert. Enjoyed the experience thoroughly. Staff was friendly and patient. The place though small and yet, we felt comfortable. The cafe latte could have been better if it’s hotter. But we still like the taste of it. Smooth and fragrant. The homemade apple crumble was amazing. It’s a dessert and yet, it’s so palatable. 1st time tasting apple crumble made in this way. The vanilla ice-cream is creamy! If you like nice coffee and dessert, do head over to this place. You will like it!

Been to both Refuel & Refuel II - both cafes serve up a hearty meal at reasonable prices. Served with a tomyum cream sauce, their Baked Salmon & Mash is a remarkable dish that I'll keep coming back for! Overall a really nice little spot that's busy throughout the day. I've tried quite a couple other dishes: - Mentaiko/Truffle Fries (super generous portions!) - Mushroom Soup with Toast (soup has mushroom bits which is nice, toast is crisp on the outside and still chewy on the inside!) - Crispy Bro-Cauli (passable, a tad too salty, definitely had better ones elsewhere) - Banana Pancakes (kinda fluffy, scrambled eggs were pretty good too, could have a bit more bananas tho) - Salmon Pesto (served with naan - mine was slightly undercooked so I didn't finish it, but the toppings were good)

The food is good but the service was bad. Ordered the chicken waffle (originally comes with 1 fried egg as per the menu). Had requested to have 1 more additional egg and to have both eggs scrambled. This request caused a bit of a commotion, had to call the manager, etc. But the menu does allow you to have add-ons, so am not sure why they were so confused.
