El Espolon

The food was excellent! We had zero wait time, and warm tortilla chips as soon as we were seated. I give this restaurant a 5 on food easily. Our waiter was very polite, just too much time in between ordering and then paying for our meal. My only knock aside from my girlfriend said there was someone else's food on her menu and I noticed that there were food spots on our table that probably wouldn't have been difficult to clean up if someone would've.

Food was delicious as always. Our server was lousy. We ordered and watched several people before us get their food. No big deal, as they had a speedier server. Not a problem, until our server brings our check over and says have good day. Chubby girl that I am, I yell as he is walking away, We haven't gotten our food yet. So he's gone just a second and comes back with the food. Then we don't see him again except I look up as he is pouring a beer out of a bottle into a glass and chugging it. So we wait, ... no check..... still no check.... still no check. Well we proceed to the register and I tell him we didn't get our check as our server was back at the bus station chugging beer. SORRY NO TIP today, except drink on your own time not mine. Yes I'll be back. But if he is my server, I will leave. And yes I tills the little manager at the register

Hungry? Want a lot of food for a low price? How about super friendly service? This place checks all those boxes. I had the chicken salad and seriously...this dish for $8.50 could feed 4 people. I’ve got leftovers for days. My husband had the Chile rellenos which was also a huge serving. It was busy on Friday night but there’s plenty of seating and parking. Our server was very personable and fun to talk to. We were on a road trip but if I’m ever back in the area, I would stop by again.
