Lighthouse Bar

Great service!everyone,customers included are wonderful...a varied lot of different folks,but all friendly,receptive and easy to talk to.excellent drinks and the only bar I've experienced of late that is affordable!great neighborhood. And the menu is simple and everything we'll prepared and proportionate.

Our bartender ange was sweet and charismatic, she recommended the homemade jalapeño poppers and they did NOT disappoint. We also had the JJs burger with dip, cheese burger and BLT and everyone I was with happily ate their entire meal. This place gives you all the fun vibes of a dive without sacrificing the quality of food. Friendly staff and honestly really friendly patrons as well. We wish we could've stayed longer to play pool or darts but we had so much fun!

This seems like a cool place, but we didn’t end up staying to super find out. It was a sunny day and we were looking for the perfect deck overlooking the water. Des Moines’s has a lot of spots in lighthouse lounge would’ve been one of them but the patio is very small and it was already overtaken by group of eight people that seem to all know each other. It seems like you can hang on the actual lighthouse itself but the patio is at the parking lot level down below and I’m not sure that there’s access on the very fun landmark that is the Lighthouse lounge.
