Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Ballard. All their menu items are delicious and very reasonably priced. I adore their thai take on fajitas - the puffed roti make a nice change from tortillas and the sizzling fajita mix delivers every time. The tables and chairs are made from trees which adds character to this restaurant, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Great food in a great space. The food is excellent Thai food, always with some interesting twists and specials, the service is great and knowledge and it's a beautiful space. There is a ton of interestingly natural wood in the space, lending it a very natural-feeling atmosphere. Whether a date night or a family night out, this is a great space. They even have a large table in the middle of the space for 10-12 if you are planning something bigger.

Used to live in Ballard and had never heard of this place. Some friends took us here and I cannot believe I have gone this long without trying it. We were here with a larger group and everyone was very pleased with their dishes. I got the curry sampler and it was great to try three different curries that were all so good. My girlfriend got the mango lettuce wraps and it was so refreshing. Worth checking out, for sure looking to going back to try something new.

Not expensive which was a nice surprise. The food is all pretty good but it is a variety of Thai, Chinese and other Asiatic cuisines. I sampled a bite of food from others in my group. We did have a little bit of a fruit fly problem but with the front doors always open that is inevitable. Friendly waitress but she got a bit confused with our large group. She still handled it well.

Root Table was nice! The staff was very friendly and the food was good. Thai tapas is not really a thing, but small plates to share is a winner every time! It would be five stars, but there wasn't air conditioning on a hot sunny day and that didn't work well with spicy food.

Went for dinner and drinks (happy hour). The drinks were standard, but the food was phenomenal. We love Thai food (and cook our own from scratch regularly). This place was impressive. The ménage e Thai was perfect - their red and yellow curries were spot on. Way more flavor than most. The steak bites with panang curry was also incredibly flavorful. It was difficult to even choose a least favorite. We will definitely be back.

Love this place, unique, off the wall, deco very natural, food flavors explode in you mouth! Menu does change frequently. You can tell the love and attention that out into every dish! I must try. (Disclaimer) I haven't been there in over a year, relocation.

This place is seriously delicious. Got the Crispy Broccoli, Chicken Satay, Grilled Prawns with Thai Pesto, Curry Corn Fritters, and the Menage a Thai (3 curries with veg and tofu). All excellent. Portions sizes are great. I was totally stuffed after sharing all that just between my wife and I. Good beer on tap too.

I went there for the first time 2 weeks ago, and have been back twice since. It's that good! The food is fantastic - small portions of beautifully prepared indian/SE asian dishes, served quickly by their very friendly staff. I got the tamarind margarita which I wasn't a big fan of (too salty!), but my best friend got their sangria (delicious!) and reasonably priced. Their Happy Hour is a great deal. Highly Recommended!

Fantastic take out, average dine in. This is our go-to take out when someone is in town or we are feeling lazy. They have decent options for my vegan spouse, fantastic small plates and appetizers, and interesting options not found at other restaurants. However, we do not love to dine in. I get it. The place is called Root Table but a theme should only go so far. Every table and chair is not only made of wood but just in case you didn't pick up on that subtlety, it is made out of rough hewn wood. The table where we were last sat, had an actual hole in it! It was big enough for my beverage glass to fall through and located directly where I would habitually set my glass down. The chairs are not comfortable either. I will say, that even though the staff has changed quite a bit in the last few years, they are consistent with always being very kind and that I will miss, as I enjoy my Menage-a-Thai at home.

This is a nice cool place to try a mix of Asian fusion dishes with Western influences. It doesn't stick to one cuisine but mixes all together for a unique dish. Nice and intimate atmosphere of you like the dim lighting.

Pretty good Thai food in Ballard. It has interesting decor. The service was pretty good even though the place was busy when we were there on a Friday. Lots of good options on the menu to try.

The food was AMAZING!! And pretty inexpensive. The service was pretty slow, although very friendly, but the food made it more than worth it. My husband and I ate at a 4 star (very popular) restaurant the night before, if we would have know how good the food was at Root Table we would have eaten there twice. So good.

Been in twice, once on a weekday afternoon and once on a Friday evening. Great service both times, and the food is fantastic! The crispy lemongrass tiger prawns are incredible. Great ingredients, plenty of veggies on the plate, creative dishes, and the flavors are rich without being overbearing. The only thing missing is the option for brown rice, other than that no complaints!
