Lupita's

They just get off with their badself making great Mexican cuisine We have never had a bad experience with the food there . The Salsa is the best in San Diego County. My wife's favorite is chili Relleno ( good luck getting one? They go fast). No one makes them better than Lupitas. I love the bean and cheese burrito. You won't be disappointed eating here .

Very sad to say Lupitas is no more, having had a change of ownership, and not for the better. It is now La Maria's, and their food is just average, like any other taco shop, not anywhere near the high quality and delicious taste we enjoyed so much from Lupitas. To be fair, coming in behind Lupitas is an impossible task. We will really miss their "Exclusive Signature Marinade, of citrus, onion and herbs, that no other restaurant offers". Truly a heartlfelt loss. But I do hope the very nice Lupitas former owners can enjoy some time off now. Vaya con dios!

Food keeps getting better imo. It really does, it is fresh and super consistent, although not cheap. I like a hole in the wall place too, but this isn't one of those. Clean and inviting, keeps me coming back. On a sour, but true note, they are probably the worst at making you feel welcome, if you're lucky you'll get the new girl at the counter who is friendly. That's it ,not one other person will smile, ask you how you're doing, say hi, bye, thanks for coming in. Nothing. It's crazy. I love the food, it's close to my house. Sorry, had to be said, as I'm positive other locals feel exactly the same.
