Pho Co

This is a pho place in name. However I do not think the pho here is special or why I come here. I come here to order the more unique Vietnamese dishes I grew up eating at home that I don't often see in restaurants. That's where this place really shines in my opinion. Try the snails, bun Mang, or the family style rice dinner. The braised fish in claypot was very nostalgic.

Discovered this place because the other greatest hits in the plaza were packed/had long waits—and am happy to report that I’ve now come back twice. The menu is huge, spanning both soups and dry dishes, and the offerings are authentic. Most importantly, the food comes out delicious and prepared well. Their freshly squeezed juices (i.e. sugar cane) are also a nice touch. Service is organized/prompt and the atmosphere is very “Vietnam” which is a nice change-up to the kind of restaurants opening up these days.

This place is sooooo damn good!!! I used to go to the place cross the street and they usually are packed so my man and I went to this place. Ooooh Myyyy Gooosh their Hanoi Bun Cha was soooooo fuqin good. Hot dipping broth with bbq pork and meatballs. The vermicelli were tender and fresh. The whole combination was amazing. My man ordered combination pho bowl and he said the pho he had in the past tasted like water comparing to this. We are impressed and we will definitely keep going here and will recommend to our friends!

This place has become one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants in San Jose. The food i had was really good. They're 8 or 9/10 comparing to when i had them in vietnam. Staffs were very friendly, always offer help when I ask them. I personally like this place more than Phở Hà Nội nearby. Not sure why it's not as crowded so I was skeptical to try at first (passed by this place a couple of times), but it turns out to be a hidden gem. Food i had: - Nem cua bể - bún chả - bún ốc - bún lòng Recommend the nem cua bể. I have tried a few places and this place has the best one so far. Will come back for comfort food and try more dishes.

The service, well, I have to tell the truth,is not okay. No one took care of me when I was there, have to pay the tab at the counter and ask for water and to go bags for many times. But I give all the 4 stars for the food. The hot pot is awesome with great amount of stewed beef. Can't believe this one is only $30! Love it with all my heart and would recommend it to friends. But service is still a worry and wanna the merchant read reviews and make it faster.
