On arrival we were greeted immediately with an apology that there might be a wait in being served as they were short staffed. However the waitress was fantastic and although very busy managed to take orders and deliver food to all around while staying cheerfull and positive. The food arrived pretty quickly and was the usual cafe rouge good standard. In the end no wait at all and an enjoyable meal.

Was fortunate enough to be the first to try the snow man afternoon tea.
Wow. Delicious on every level, perfect balance of sweet and savoury, will most definitely be coming again!
Our server Josh was super friendly, and had great customer service.
Thank you making our visit more enjoyable!

Really enjoyed the tasty Salmon which was cooked to perfection. We had a late lunch so escaped the usual Saturday rush.
Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend. 2 course lunch menu looked interesting for those who prefer 2 courses.

It was a nice place. Good vegetarian options. Hot chocolate and cafe au lait were amazing. Artichoke and Tomato Tapenade Tart was tangy and nice.

Nice compact tasty breakfast for £5.95
A la carte menu looks good. Classic French traditional dishes. Clean area. Pleasant helpful friendly staff.
Second visit not so good. Bacon was thick cheap and very gristly see photo. I wouldn't go back

First time visit for me, I met a friend for breakfast with my 6 month old. The waitresses made such a fuss over my baby and suggested a table suitable for the buggy to sit comfortably next to. The food was wonderful (particularly the sausage and eggs in the big breakfast) my friend had the pancakes with bacon which looked equally mouth watering, and we continued with several drinks after our breakfast as the atmosphere was so pleasant.
I'll definitely return there again.

Had a very nice meal here after a trip to the cathedral. Central location, clean, good service and good food. We have been to a few cafe rouge with mixed experiences but this one I have no complaints about. Prices I thought were about average. As a bonus the night we dined they had a singer performing who was actually very good. All in all an enjoyable meal in nice surroundings
