Lily's

Nice restaurant. Sarah our waitress was excellent. We had a 6pm reservation but they had a bit of a problem in the kitchen which backed up the orders. It took quite a bit of time between appetizer and entree. Sarah was very apologetic for the delay. Would still go back again as the food was good. And a very good view of Lily lake. It was a bit to cold to sit on the deck. Try next if it is a bit warmer.

The roasted beet and fried goat cheese salad was spectacular! The poutine was good, but average. The creamy dill salmon (special of the day) was actually weirdly bitter. The salmon was awfully bland, pale, and a bit overcooked to my liking. The steamed veggies on the side were also bland and unexciting. The bar was extremely limited and out of stock, even lacking the basic ingredients for an old fashioned. We were the only ones here on Saturday night, which felt odd and cold. Unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the views which seemed like they would otherwise be beautiful! The service was great! No rush despite out later arrival and very friendly. If you come here, get the salad, and do so when you can enjoy the view!
