Old Town Bread Co.

My Wife and I come here as often as possible from Georgetown, MA. Doug's scones and piecrust turnovers are what we originally kept coming in for. Each time in, we'd ask what just came out of the oven? We have had incredibly flavor filled breads and muffins. If you haven't visited, you should! Check his Facebook page before heading down to see what's coming out of the oven that morning, or place an order with him ahead of time.

I don't know what the previous bad review is about. The man there is very nice and just wants to do his job. You would have to be a special kind of irritating and snarky to get on his nerves. The bread there is wonderful and the scones are the best I've ever tasted. Inside the shop they also have glass bottles of soda and soup mixes, it's a lovely small town bakery.

It seems the owner needs to take Etiquette 101, because he is rude! I ran into this place by chance. Went inside but he said " cash only " ..Okay no problem , " it smells so good , be back tomorrow, thank you " .. Went back the next day , door was open .." I came back " I said. He came out with a massive attitude and said " don't you see the sign at the door ?" And whispered nonsense and walked away... Mind you , I'm new to the surrounding towns . I politely accept the fact I will never go back and will never taste his bread. His loss!

I am so grateful for the experience I had at Old Town Bread Co. I needed to order a last minute Birthday Cake (during the rush of Easter week no less) The owner was so helpful and even accomodated the unusual message for the cake. I appreciate the extra mile that he took to help me make this morning special for my friend who turned 90 this morning! Thank you, Rie Donaldson
