How sad that this took such a bad turn. Poke bowl had NO poke - just ground up slop or something, served in a cardboard bowl. Waitress tried explaining what poke was - laughable as she was lying saying that's how it's made there. Gross. Daughter's stir-fry was nothing but chicken (frozen) and onions. The sushi was ok, but nothing i would return for ( kinda mushy) Vibe is hurting - no hibachi style cooking at all ( Saturday night???) so very disappointing. Bathroom a mess needing repair. First time ever took no leftovers home. I hope they are able to turn thing around!

Dont make a door dash order with this company almost $200 later and I opted to go pick up the food MYSELF and guess what they don’t have anything ready! This is the 2nd time trying to order and get the refunds of the mess up and seems no one truly has any customer service to help and resolve the issue of the two charges of $200 out of my account. Not one person apologized or even tried to make that situation better. As I sit outside on the phone for the 2nd time with door dash and the 2nd time with my bank and talking to the restaurant it seems no one has any clue, clearly my account is showing different. The lady as soon as you walk in was rude and didn’t try to help at all with absolutely anything.

Sushi is good. Ordered take out slow service 45 minutes for to go order. Noticed many orders to go were given to wrong people. I was rang up wrong. Also sat inside for 5 minutes and sweating! So warm inside for a sushi place is concerning to me. Turn on the a/c please 81 degrees inside on a 90 plus day. This will be my last order.

Went to Akira around 11:30am when they open. I was greeted by a very nice hostess/server who brought us to our table. The server was very courteous and did a great job answering any questions I had. I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and gyoza. First we were given miso soup which had tons of flavor and was a perfect portion. Next the gyoza came out and they were they were definitely fresh and filled with flavor. Our bento boxes finally arrived and we were impressed by the presentation as we have had bento boxes from other places before and this fit right in. The chicken katsu was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The sauce for the chicken was the perfect amount of bitter/sweet which hit the spot. I substituted my California roll for a sweet potato roll which they had no issues doing and all I can say is wow. I’ve never tasted a sweet potato roll like the one I had here. The flavor was amazing and the sweet potato was crispy. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend anyone that hasn’t tried a bento box stop by akira and give it a try! We definitely will be back.
