Anna's Mess

Anna's Mess is located in Tapovan, Rishikesh, Dehradun and was undoubtedly one of the best places I've eaten Amazing Authentic South Indian Food ! It's easy to find via Google maps and is just next to Hashtag Hostel . I ordered Filter Kapi, Ghee Podi Masala Dosa and Ghee Thattu Podi Idli . The Filter Kapi is Heavenly . It's perfectly sweet and the coffee shines through. You cannot miss the Filter Kaapi at Anna's Mess. All of the items prepared were phenomenal. It was incredibly fresh and the Chutneys cannot be missed. They serve 3 chutneys with each menu item and you would simply want more of those ! The Idli and Dosa were incredibly flavourful and just would hit the spot for you. The portion size is also very filling and all items are worth each penny. The prices are very economical, so you can easily enjoy a good full meal within your budget . The Ambience of Anna's Mess is beautiful. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Try seating in the outdoors as it's a beautiful garden space and calmly aesthetic. The staff is polite and courteous to all guests . I chose my order on the recommendations of Kishor who is simply polite and would give you great recommendations based on your taste/spice reference ! Do ask for him for recommendations whenever you visit. Definitely an unmissable spot when you're visiting Rishikesh, Dehradun. Highly Highly Recommended when in Rishikesh for Authentic South Indian Food .

If you like south indian cuisine especially idly, dosai, vadai, kesari etc😋😋😋. Then Yes, this place is for you. Neat and clean restaurant with indoor and a small outdoor sitting area and friendly service by the owner. In peak times you have to wait for your order. Pineapple kesari is my favorite and a must try. There are many restaurants in Rishikesh serving south Indian food. But this restaurant is unique as it serves exclusively south Indian dishes. Folks from all over india and globe enjoy idly and dosai here😋😋😋

We visited on 29 December. We had amazing authentic tamilnadu food. Highlight was Malabar parota and medu vadas. I must say this was our highlight for the new year! Service was okay considering they were full for our entire time being there. They should make idly all day as it's cold and hard to wake up. Other than that it's a must visit place!

Amazing food as per the reviews. Had a 50% discount on all menu items today because of Raksha Bandhan. Excellent service by Kishor, who spoke English well, gave great recommendations and was very accommodating. They accept card payments. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed setup of three areas; outside, under a roof and AC. Will definitely be back!

Simply the best South-Indian food I have had. It's not an exaggeration. Creative, tasty and healthy dishes with several side dishes to go along. With a menu in which one wants to try everything. High quality and super taste hits on the first bite itself. Many never heard of dishes and desserts on the menu. Pleasant, cozy, neat and quiet ambience. A small hidden gem of a restaurant in Rishikesh that everyone should try.

Guys, honestly, this is the best restaurant in India :D the food they make is incredible, the vibe inside is so nice and chill, the amazing people working there are so helpful and kind...everything is flawless :))) I recommend trying everything on the menu ;) because it is all so good!! I ate there everyday (sometimes twice) during my stay in Rishikesh. It's hard to believe that the best south Indian food is served in the Himalayas! Bon appetit everybody! 🙏
