Amazing food I think. We have yet to find better in Ridgewood. round table in the new section is our favourite for 4 people. Order the fish! garlic shrimp is very good. excellent service too!!! only downsize is it's hard to get in on the weekend nights and I never remember to make reservations. Owner is very hands on and they decorate the place with beautiful colours and great atmosphere. Love it.

I was looking forward to trying Mediterraneo for dinner tonight. The restaurant is small, and the tables are practically on top of each other. They start you with pita and oil for dipping which was ok. For appetizer I had the lamb empanadas which was good. For entree I had the Moroccan lamb tagine with cous cous. The lamb was nice and tender, and it was packed with delicious Moroccan flavor! The cous cous was on the side, and that wasn't that great as it wasn't the type of cous cous I was expecting. Why the 3 stars you must be wondering? I thought the entrees were much too small! They barely gave me any meat in the lamb tangine! Entrees are good, but the portions are ridiculously small! I saw several seafood entree dishes being served too, and everything just was much too small here! It really wasn't worth it! If I'm paying $65 per person with tip I should be served a nice portion. I shouldn't leave a restaurant hungry after paying $65! Another thing I didn’t like was that my entree was served without my appetizer even being cleared from my table! I also ordered the baklava for dessert which was fresh, but it wasn't sweet enough for me. I like mine with honey. The food was definitely good, but I wouldn't come back due to the ridiculously small entree portions!

I wish I could give this place a higher rating because we've been here a few times and the food is very good. The Tapas are great, cheese and meat plate is great. The Loup de Mer is outstanding. As of late, the staff is average at best. Feels like they're focused on turning over tables as we're feeling rushed. Also, the server made an error billing our credit card twice and the response was "I did? Oh!" No apology, no attempt to correct the issue. Great food not so good customer service.

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is fantastically prepared and the ingredients are excellent. We know this because my wife used to work at the restaurant, and over her long career as a server, this is the one of two restaurants where she swears by the quality. Get the grilled octopus.

This restaurant is exceptional! We are foodies and it was hands down, one of the best meals we have experienced as well as extraordinary customer service. We had the Tabla to start with delicious meats and cheeses. My husband had the roasted vegetable soup for his main dish which was exquisite. I ordered the Loupe de Mer with mushroom truffle risotto. With all the fish I have eaten, this was truly memorable. Perfectly prepared, perfectly proportioned and left me feeling as though I had stumbled upon some wonderful secret place that serves food unlike any other restaurant in the region! Kudos as well to the waitstaff. Our waitress was fantastic, a delight! We highly recommend this unassuming restaurant located across from the train tracks. Just make sure you bring a wine worthy of the meal!
