Sandy's Tavern

A nice little tavern in the middle of a big city. This location reminds you of a good old tavern in the middle of nowhere, Midwest USA. Good service. Good environment. A good selection of beers, and good curds. The taste of the actual burger leaves more to be desired as well as the bacon finish, but kudos for the spicy ketchup. A nice touch. The virtual pay only accepted Apple Pay at the time of our checkout and we had no option to manually add our preferred card payment. Would stop by again.

This place is great! Melted cheese and caramelized onion juice running down my wrist and fries obviously cooked to perfection in a well seasoned deep fryer! This place is a small, gem held up by a solid regulars type crowd. Burgers and beer and Gilligan's Island playing on a Saturday afternoon what's more American than that i ask you?! My frosty pinte out of the cooler said Sandy's since 1933 and it took every once of self control i have to not steal that baby for the house lol thanks for the hospitality ill be back watch those glasses closely

First of all, this place is not a fancy hamburger place. Their burgers are basic, no lettuce and tomatoes, and only have a few pickles on the side. But that said, I am surprised about this place with the claim of having the best burgers. Their burgers does not even look impressive, but the burger buns are toasted, their burgers, though thin, taste delicious! Not to mention that they only have 1 server that night with a lot of customers yet she was able to serve all of our needs and got all our orders correctly and with a smile. I think this place is worth a try if you're in the area. Did I mention that the food is also very affordable (only $8 a burger)?

Did a search for the best burger near me and Sandy's popped up. Simple menu, easy to choose. Got the bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, and stuffed tots.... The burger was good... the onion rings were perfectly salted and sooo good and the tots dipped in sour cream were the perfect compliment to each other! I am overly satisfied with this late night score and would for sure recommend it and will for sure return. I did pickup and everything was hot and fresh when I got it back to my hotel. Oh and my server was overly friendly and I appreciated that as well! Sorry ate it before I took pics and I have no regrets :)

Very friendly service. If you go in the winter, at a busy dinner time, don't expect there to be enough parking in their lot. That's kind of annoying, because there's not a natural overflow place to park. Not the cheapest, but good food. Friendly service. When above and beyond while I was waiting for a carryout order. Place is old, and not necessarily in a fun retro hipster way, but it's suffices. Some people love that. It won't be my go-to place for a burger, but it's as good as ever. And worth keeping in the rotation. Nice people working there, that means a lot.

I've driven by this place for years, never stopped, never made the time. We're retired now, so we decided to pop in for a late lunch. My wife had a cheeseburger, I had a double Sandy's Signature. We split a half order of fries. The service was spectacular, very attentive. The food was exactly what we were in the mood for, a nice greasy burger! Fries were done perfectly. The spiced ketchup was a nice treat. Too many burger joints try too hard to overthink a hamburger. Sandy's doesn't overthink it, they're spot on. Fry the burger, toast the bakery bun, serve it up hot!
