Applebee's

Good seasonal cocktails for cheap. The pic is of the tipsy shark and it even included 2 gummy sharks 🦈 in each drink. Nice spot convenient to go to when shopping in the outlets or heading back to your hotel after a day at the beach. Good service. Great food. We got the current special 2 for $30 deal. Nice size portions. Just know bourbon street steak is actually chicken lol

3/4 kids meals had to be sent back because the pizzas were cold in the center and the cheese wasn't even melted. We haven't been in an Applebee's in years. The quality has gone down. The spinach artichoke dip just wasn't what it used to be and the burger meat tasted bad and like it was from a frozen pattie. I paid with cash and our waitress short - changed me and just walked away. I got her attention and questioned her about it and she belittled it because she thought it was a small amount of money. She said they don't carry change. For some reason she said the register was in the back- like that was an excuse not to get money from it. She said that no one has ever had a problem with it in the past. I'm not sure why she thought she could decide if I wanted my money back or not. The manager wouldn't come out to speak to me. Apparently they were short staffed and he was working on the "line". He offered, through her, to take my name to call me. I just walked out. I did not feel good about actually getting a call back and the issue needed to be resolved right there. Unfortunately, the waitress did not seem to understand that it wasn't the amount of money I was upset about, but the lack of transparency and integrity. Stealing is stealing and lack of character is lack of character. You don't get to decide if you're going to give people their money back or not. The change was supposed to be part of her tip. So I told her that she lost that part. I had a mental debate if I should have docked her more on tip (it would have been 20%) but I didn't. I'm not sure what will come of this experience for her, but I hope she can learn from it!
