We had an absolutely delicious meal here, the food was really special, everything was authentic and homemade and we could tell. The drinks were good, the atmosphere relaxed and jovial. The man who served us was very entertaining, a true character, he really made us laugh. The homemade honey cake was beautifully indulgent, I wish I'd had enough of an appetite left to finish it. We'll definitely be back in the future.

Eating here was amazing, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. I came here about 10 years ago as a child and boy oh boy am I glad I came back as an adult! The herring salad was brilliant, as were the fried rye bread sticks, even better than the ones I had in Lithuania! Ramsay the host was good enough to explain the pros and cons of different types of bread used for this purpose when I asked. The mains were similarly great and more than enough to fill our bellies. These were washed down with a delicious red ale and a few special little vodkas - all to the ambience of Russia's top 40 charts. It's a top place and it deserves our support, Ramsay and his wife really care about the restaurant and it shows! There is also a fine hat on offer for anyone daring enough to pose.

We went for our second time and ones more it was just perfect. It is just like sitting in a friend's living room and getting served a perfect meal. The waiter and Manager is just a bundle of energy and fun. Always handy with a short story or a joke. The food is just excellent and really tasty, some of the best food I have gotten here in the UK.
