Maid-Rite, but not for this crowd. I had no problem with the sandwich, but the rest of my family were not big fans.
Apparently this is a very local sandwich (the loose meat sandwich) and not something they loved.
I found it to be akin to meatloaf on a bun.
They make great root beer in house.

Chili cheese dogs are best I’ve ever had. Very nice homemade pies. I recommend the chocolate and lemon. Also of note are the peanut butter and coconut cream. Hope they bring back the butterscotch. They don’t accept tips here.

they have very good food. i like the old-fashioned aesthetic of the place and the maid rites just melt in your mouth its just that good. definitely reccomend to people who are in the area around blessing hospital and want a bite to eat.

Maid-Rite is my second favorite spot to treat myself. Their special recipe makes them the best loose meat sandwiches, hands down. Their chilli dogs are to die for and it's one of the few places you can get a true malted shake. Just remember not every Maid-Rite restaurant is the same.

I just finished what very well may have been the best lunch I've ever had. TheI were very busy, but deciding what I wanted off the huge menu took longer than anything. I ended up with a classic maidrite (plus catsup), a BBQ pulled poek sandwich
. The woman at the register was both all business and very friendly at the same time And I haven't evenstarted my bread pudding, which looks incredibly delicious as well. Why have I not been eating here?!

I remember going here when I was a little girl would go there as a family and have a meal food was good then just as good as it is now shakes are amazing they're real ice cream shakes and you put in the freezer and it stays soft like ice cream it does not freeze up

Food was fantastic like always. Be prepared to wait in a long line to order. They no longer have someone coming to your table to take orders.
