Shari's

The last few times we've been here (evenings) there has been no more than 2 people working. They do the best they can, but things are stacked against them. We were in no hurry tonight and seating to receiving our food was just over an hour. All of the customers (eating in were good sports, though some of the delivery folks were unhappy about being told to wait another 10-15 minutes. This location is rather out of the way except for folks at nearby hotels, shopping at what stores are still nearby, or going to events at the Expo Center or raceway, and it was Easter tonight so not so busy. I hope as travel season comes they can get enough staff. And that next time they aren't out of key lime pie.

I had the grilled salmon dinner entree, with steamed broccoli, rice, and a dinner roll. It was fantastic! Light and not overcooked! Veggies were nice and buttery, especially after drizzling a little juice from the lemon slices that were also part of the meal. Before leaving I figured why not try a piece of pie, right? The pie barely made it back to the hotel with me! It was the Marionberry cheesecake pie that I tried, which was a first I had ever even heard of marionberry... but it was very good!! Mind you I'm not much of a pie eater, and this has me sold!! Definitely worth a shot for those looking to try it. I forgot my waitresses name, but she was fantastic as well and was very nice which was just awesome.

This was our first time at Shari's and I will say we enjoyed our food. The portion size was good enough for two people. We ordered an Spring omelette with pancakes, hash brown and toast on the side. To end we ordered the famous Marion berry pie which was delicious. The waitress there was sweet and helpful. I would definitely visit this location again.

Great food, great pie, good coffee. Customer service quality really depends who's working. There's one waitress in particular who always tried to rush me out of there because I don't have enough of an appetite to get more than a small soup and some pie and coffee instead of an overpriced entree. But there's a waitress who was incredibly friendly and did her best to make us feel comfortable and make sure we knew she wasn't trying to kick us out. We always tried to visit on her shifts so we could actually enjoy our meal.
