Ruby Tuesday

My wife wanted to stop in, since it had been a decade since we went to a Ruby's. The hostess was laid out in a booth by the door. Sighed when we walked in because she had to stand up. Sat us and proceeded to have a phone conversation on speaker, loudly swearing while tables with kids were around her. I was absolutely blown away, where was the manager? Hilariously absurd, like a parody of a restaurant. The service was amazing, the server had a nose piercing and said "You're very welcome" to every thank you. She was attentive, kind, and good at her job. The manager came out at one point, older lady, looking around for the hostess who had disappeared. Just a wild experience. Great server and service though. Hostess situation was horrible to the point of being funny. Picture is hostess lol.

We ordered the special all you can eat soup and salad bar. We both ordered the same soup. Husband's was delicious mine was bitter. I only made 1 trip to salad bar. My husband tasted my soup and confirmed that the 2 soups were indeed not the same. We brought it to the attention of the server. I do not like the only other soup offered, so I ordered a cheeseburger (no fries or other side). I reminded server that I didn't eat the soup and that I only had 1 trip to salad bar. We were charged for 2 complete soup and salads, and a comple cheeseburger meal plus our drinks.

Waited 5 minutes to be seated. No one showed up, so I decided to sit at the bar for faster service. Sat at the bar for another 5 minutes, no one apparently was working the bar either. There were at least 5 employees talking and joking together, but none seemed interested at all with the customers. Customer service was non existent.

We waited 25 minutes just to be seated but the restaurant was empty - maybe 5 tables. Food was not very good. Server was very nice and attentive. We watched at least half a dozen to a dozen families decide to leave instead of waiting for seating. Not sure who is managing the place but they are not utilizing the staffing very well. 2 hostesses that were chatting more than working. Cleasiness was also questionable.

This location has decreased in quality the last few months. The salad bar products are not as fresh, or just not there. This used to be one of 3 places that we rotated visiting when we are in Pocomoke, not any more. The servers are still attentive and friendly, they just don't have much to work with anymore.

Small portions, over priced, extremely slow service and unattentitve wait staff. The only good thing I can say is the salad bar was well stocked. Avoid until they get new management and staff. Note: food took an hour yo get with only 5 tables occupied and the food had been sitting under the heating light soo long the mashed potatoes hardened back into a potato and the medium cooked steaks were charred / burnt.
