Royal Splash Texas

This is quite a tough review because it's a great place to have fun but the food I had TODAY wasn't on point. We've been to Royal splash a few times. This is my first review of this establishment. We first came so that our children could swin in the lazy river. If I were the owner I'd actually raise the price, not bad for $14 per person, but today was actually $6. No complaints here. Afterwards we decided to stay for dinner. We began with appetizers. We ordered cheese sticks and bacon and cheese fries. The bacon on the bcf is cooked and chopped up into small bacon bits. There wasn't much bacon, as the picture depicted, but it could've definitely used more considering the ratio of cheese to fries. All in all the appetizers were good, I'd give it a 6.9 on a scale from 1-10. For the main entree my wife ordered the bbq buffet. She is picky about her food and said the brisket tasted as though it was cooked in a crock pot. I did try it and it was not very good. I'd give it a 4 imo. She did say she loved the pulled pork and the sausage. I did have a bite of the pulled pork and it was great, 7.4. My son had the chicken nuggets and fries. He didn't quite like the chicken nuggets. They were a bit dry. 6.9. Me and my daughter shared a large pizza, 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 hamburger. The pie looked delicious when it was brought to the table causing my mouth to water. Disappointed. Not much sauce in the pizza, and in my opinion, it had too much bread. I only ate one slice. There were a couple bites here and there that I could taste the sauce, which was great. I told my wife about it and she thought I was being dramatic so she had a bite. She thought it was bland. It almost tasted like Little Caesar's Pizza. I'd rate it at about a 5. My daughter agreed with me. I've had other appetizers and entrees before but can't remember because it was a long time ago and it wouldn't be fair to rate it now. I will say I know I wasn't disappointed the last time I ate here. I would reccomend this place due to the fun atmosphere.

We had my son’s birthday party there this past weekend. We thought we would hAve a few kids coming. We had more than expected. They did accommodate everyone and the pricing was not so expensive for what we had. Teresa and her staff are sweet and gave us the best price possible 😊 definitely recommending them to my friends. My 5 year old and his friends had a lot of fun.

I have been going here for about two months and it's great, I absolutely love their Pizza ,burgers, and fries! I play three or four games of pool while I eat pizza and they make sure I always have enough to drink. Great place for my kids with all the arcade games, it keeps them busy. They have these cool cards that collect the tickets so there's no longer a huge string of tickets for the parent to carry around, it's all on a card! The staff are very patient and kind with the kids as well which makes it really easy on my wife and I. They also do birthday parties for kids along with other gathering events which is great! So to sum it up it's pretty much a one-stop for kids and parents alike for food and entertainment!

Food is excellent here. We ordered cheeseburger and onion rings. Fabulous burger tasted great and onion rings are homemade. Pulled pork basket with tator tots. Tasted great also. And a kids cheeseburger and fries. Everything tasted great. Can't wait to eat here again. Wish you had jalapeno poppers on your menu. The arcade section is nice everything is a dollar. Wish had a few more games like maybe a virtual reality game or something similar would be fun. Overall nice Family oriented place. Owners are very nice. Place is clean. Atmosphere is fun. Can't wait for water park section to open. Definitely recommend going here

Really neat place to take the kids. Food is good. The only issue was the men's restroom had fecal material on the toilet. I told them. They thanked me for letting them know and said they would have someone clean it. 30 minutes later I went in again and it had not been cleaned. So my wife told them about it again. I went in after another 30 minutes and it had still not been cleaned. I left a hour after that I never saw anyone go to clean it.

Pros The food was awesome The arcade/prize area was pretty fun and kept the kids entertained Cons The service was absolutely horrible. We sat ourselves and waited about 20 to 25 min before they even acknowledged us. No "be with u in a min" or anything like that the whole time. It took so long that I became confused as to whether or not i was supposed to order at the counter, or if they were supposed to wait on us. After finally getting waited on, (right before I was about to leave) the waitress was very slow. I'm not one to complain about stuff like that but it was ridiculous. The food order took an excruciatingly long time especially since we had young kids with us.. Once we finally got our food I was satisfied with the quality of the food. It was really good, but I dont Know that it was worth the painful wait. If the service was improved I would definitely recommend the place. However, it will probably be a while before I give them another chance personally.

Ordered a chicken fried chicken the first night they opened... waited 15 minutes for my food only to find out they ran out of GRAVY. Mind you, we were the one of two tables even eating. I went back 2 days later and had a burger which was very good. Just don't like their high prices. 99% of the arcade games are a dollar and minimal return on tickets. Many workers standing around on their phones and joking around. If taking your family.... Bring plenty of money. It's no where as reasonable as GattiLand in Lubbock. All employees are friendly and willing to help, if not on their phone.

Friendly people, good prices this is a perfect place for the entire family great place to relax hang out and just have lots of fun. Arcade prizes are really cool. Great place for family reunions and travelers. Thus a big BIG boost for our community RV park let's all boost this business. I wanna see more of this.
