Applebee's

How do you write a bad review for one of your favorite places but after finding a "hair" in your meal; I did have to admit things were a bit off on this visit. The manager (Rachel) did remove the meal off the bill, however that made me lose my appetite and not want to eat anything else. I will say they did treat us right. The drinks like always were spot on perfect. Scott our Bartender and waiter was a super guy and felt kinda bad that this issue put him in the middle. They all could easily see/tell that it wasn't one of our hairs.

Service was okay but this restaurant is also short staffed. We ordered 3 drinks for our group and our food order came before it. Taking in the fact that it took 15 minutes to give our order and another 20 minutes to be served it. Meal was okay, I had the Broccoli and chicken fettuccine. The last 2 restaurants, this one and one in Pittsburgh, both chicken was overcooked and dry. Fettuccine sauce was scarce. Took back the first time but at this restaurant, I decided to ask for sauce on the side. To my astonishment, she charged me $2 extra for the sauce. Not a big deal but the principle of it. (Waited on drinks, slow service, missed my friends extra sauce and then charge me when the food was bland?). I know I am done with this food chain as their service has gone way down and so has their food. So on that note, good bye 🍎 Applebee's as I know I will never return as you lost one of your loyal diners.

We had really great service. When we got there they told us there was only one server and it would be a little bit to be seated. We only waited about 10 minutes. We ordered shortly after being seated and it only took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and food. Alexea was the server and even though she was the only one she was very attentive to our drink refills and anything else we needed. The food and service were great!

It was a special date night. There wasn't a wait to get to a table because we went early. There were long waits to order, for drink and food to come and then, after waiting a long time for signs of life from the back, we were brought our check. We wanted to order something more but decided it wasn't worth the effort. There seemed to be lots of workers milling around in the back, (one was dancing) but none to actually serve customers. It felt very much like we were distracting them from what they really were there to do. We just paid and left.

Compared with other restaurants during this era of pandemic seating arrangements, Applebee's hasnt quite got the hang of things. They are still seating at less than 50% capacity and seem plentifully staffed. After waiting 25 minutes to be seated while we watched dirty tables go unaddressed while employees stood chatting with one another, we were finally seated. It took 10 minutes for the waiter to come take our full order (by the time he came to get our drinks we were fully decided on what to eat)and another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. The food is exactly what youd expect. Good but not great. Our waoter was nice but not super attentive and our drinks were only filled once. We will probly hold off coming back for a while and hope that after this crazy time things can resume normal expectations.
