Mad River is a great place to take somebody new to the area. The menu has a wide range of options and you can sit outside. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow during busy times but the food is always great, especially for the price. The chicken sandwich (Pictured) is always a great choice, as is the burger.

The only thing about Mad River that disappoints me is the fact that they're closed on (some) Sundays and Mondays... I wonder if I sneak in with a blanket and pillow I could just stay over? Doubt I can sneak anything past those security guys though! They're on their A game, which is great because I always feel so safe when I'm there. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Mad River is my safe space... my happy place. Like, you know that scene in Happy Gilmore when he goes to his happy place? Exactly like that with all those good looking bartenders prancing around me and cheerful music playing. 10/10 would recommend.

One of my favorite places. I've never had a bad time here! Bartenders are amazing and kind. Don't even get me started on manager Joe-- What a guy! This place is a MUST if you're in Manayunk. I'd rate it 6 stars if I could!

Best LIT (pronounced el-EYE-tee) in the Greater Philadelphia Area. And the bartenders never even bat an eyelash when I ask them to “make it strong.” Most accommodating staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of serving me. Fun tunes. Cold drinks. Good times.

Mad river is a great spot if you’re looking to have a great time!!! Their drink specials are unbeatable and their bartenders know how to make a good drink! The DJs play great music and it’s a great space for dancing too!! 100% would recommend going here!

Unfortunately the Mad River Manayunk (Phila. PA) closed in May of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to phillyvoice.com, May 18, 2020. There is a For Rent sign on the building.

Always a great time at Mad River! Between Riverpaloozas, wild Thursday college nights and then they have the BEST open bar deals you can find on the weekends! 5 stars ALL DAY!
