Tradewinds BYOB is a really special and unique addition to the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. This family owned restaurant was a real treat and we were truly impressed. The family has 8 years of experience and the chef (also family) was very pleasant and nice when she delivered our (absolutely amazing) wings. The concept they created really comes together, which is very exciting to have among the other spots in the area. The influence of Polynesian, Korean, and Hawaiian cuisine are spot on and everything was flavorful, priced accordingly, and the menu has just the right amount of choices.
We ordered the Korean Fried Wings, Poke Trio, a side of Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Stone Pot Bi Bim Bap. My wife and I have many years of experience in the restaurant industry so our bar is always reasonably high. Of the dishes we ordered the stand out had to be the Korean wings, which says a lot considering everything else was exceptional as well. The poke was so fresh and melted in your mouth, I honestly haven't had a better piece of Tuna in this city. The ambiance is part tasteful Pacific island or Polynesian decor and part comfort. The staff were friendly and attentive, the servers were knowledgeable, and everything went well. The only part of the dining experience I would change...was the dessert. We ordered a mocha pie of some kind. Of the many they had to choose from this one looked delicious when we saw it coming in. The dessert was delicious, we just didn't really know what we were ordering. It ended up being more of an ice cream dessert than the thick, cheesecake-like dessert we were hoping for. Fair enough.
There was a packed house starting at about 6:30 pm on. We look forward to returning soon. Thank you Tradewinds for making our Friday evening before the theater that much more enjoyable.
Pro Tip: Bring a flask of Bailey's to have with your post-meal Lavazza coffee.

Super Yummy! Must have: grilled goat cheese and tomato bread, Korean chicken wings are addictive and available vegan! The mud Pié is only the best dessert ever!

One of the best brunches in the area and you’re always guaranteed a table for brunch. My boyfriend and I are addicted to the kimchi fried rice with fried egg on top. We’re driving there right now as I type this!

Yelp actually notified of us of Tradewinds and my girlfriend and I are always looking to try new places. So we decided to head over to Chestnut Hill to try out this new place. Upon arrival we were greeted very nicely and in addition our waitress was very personable. I ordered the Stone Pot Bi Bim Bap and my girlfriend ordered the Bavette Steak. Long story short, both dishes were pretty good and the experience was amplified by the staff who were very attentive and nice.

The ahi tuna was so good!!! We really enjoyed all our food. On tuesdays they do a prefix menu for $35 which includes 4 courses. We got 1 prefix and 1 entree and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people.
