Love to get Cha Lua here. They had a large selection of different types of Banh Mi. However, their dessert selection did not taste fresh. It's previously refrigerated. It's a bit disappointing.

Solid Bánh mì 🥖 our usuals are the special, the crispy pork, and the vegan one. They just came out with a new summer roll called salmon roll and it’s full of delicious fresh herbs and not fried. It comes with the spicy green chilies dipping sauce that brings it home since I used to have that sauce with seafoods in Vietnam. Definitely a new go-to for us, besides the Nem Nướng gỏi cuốn. Note that there are only 2 rolls in a salmon order so it may leave you wanting more if you’re a big eater.

The banh mi Xi mãi was different than I had before. The meatballs had peas in it. The bread was a skinny hoagie like bread. Not the proper french bread. I loved the steamed banana cake. Idk how to spell it in vietnamese. I also love the container for their nuoc mam cham. I of course added extra garlic, lime, peppers, and sugar to make it better. In a quick need to fulfill my cravings I would come again to try other items.

I got sick eating from here once and still five stars ⭐️. The sardine #18 is face-meltingly good, although they tipped the container over to get out the last of it in the bread so I did get extra sauce, so that might have been the game changer. They charged me an extra dollar when I handed them my card but I don’t know why 🤷‍♂️

Wide selection of Vietnamese sandwiches, desserts, chè, and ready to eat meals. The prices are high, but it's acceptable because the quality of the food is also high.

Absolutely my favorite place to eat in philly. Crispy pork banh mi 10/10 lemongrass chicken banh mi 10/10. The sandwiches are the best ive ever had. The bread is golden quite literally. Also love the selection of prepared foods/ ingredients. I always get some rice cakes and viet deli meats. The staff are efficient and sweet. Ba Le deserves ur business and kindness. Cannot say enough food things.

I stop by at least once per week to get the sesame balls and Vietnamese egg rolls. They are amazing if you can catch them when they are fresh out of the fryer, but also revive very nicely in an air fryer or toaster oven at 350° for 4 minutes. I'm always trying new things here, and even when something isn't my favorite flavor, it's still well made and it's amazing to experience authentic Vietnamese recipes!

The bread here is incredible. It is crisp, and flaky, and porous in all the right ways. It makes an incredible banh mi, or buy a package of rolls and make perfect garlic bread or a great cheese steak. I come here every time I go to Philly!

This was easily one of the best banh mi that I have ever had in my life! The bread was perfectly chewy with a soft interior, the tofu was well cooked and seasoned so flavorfully, and it was packed with plenty of both fresh and pickled vegetables— topped with herbs! I dream of these sandwiches now, haha. Staff was nice and service was pretty quick despite it being a busy time. The parking lot at this plaza is kinda crazy to drive through/to find parking (lots of people and shops for a very small lot and limited off-street parking).

A lot of good banh mi options. And there are other authentic VN snacks and desserts. To go place only and it gets crowded here. Everything got too pricey over time. And you have to pay a fee if you need to use a credit card.
