Capogiro

So good! Somewhat pricey, but it's totally worth the price once you take into account the flavors. The server while being somewhat blah (an over it attitude that seems common in a lot of places) did help me by wrapping my pint in a lot of tinfoil so that it could travel well. Overall I will be returning.

While each location of Capogiro carries the same award-winning gelato (although flavors vary daily and seasonally), the East Passyunk location is special because not only is it right in the middle of one of South Philly's nicest neighborhoods/business districts, but it also has a far more homey atmosphere than the other locations; almost like you're relaxing in the kitchen of your friend's city apartment while enjoying the best gelato in town! Unlike the other locations, you can't actually see what the gelato flavors look like, but I'm sure it's for food safety reasons--if you're unsure of what a particular flavor tastes like, just ask the barista for a sample!
