El Huachinango

If you are making a list of seafood places to eat at, make sure you place this one near the bottom. They do not have all the things listed on their menu. Three out of the four of us who went there did not get what we originally wanted to order. The service was good though. However, I would not come back here ever. They only had Miller light, the Sprite tasted salty, they had no buffalo sauce, no medium cocktail size cups, and they had no huachinangos for the past 2 days.

We were greeted and told to sit wherever, it was around 1pm but not very busy. There were 5 of us so we pushed two tables together to make room. We were given chips and salsa and what looked to be refried beans with salsa. The salsa was tasty but the chips were a little stale, but that may just be due to the humidity in the area. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese. The shrimp was pretty good, the rice was decent but needed just a little bit more flavor, the fries were good. Not a bad place and not too expensive, it was about $60 for 5 people.

NOT THE SAME ANYMORE! So sad... After years of visiting the Valley, this restaurant was often a favorite spot of mine to visit. The food was the best. Ever since the new management the quality has gone down tremendously. The food now takes longer, they are short-staffed and the food doesn’t taste the same as it used to. It is extremely hot indoors and the poor waitresses just don’t seem to know what they’re doing. So sad to see a once great restaurant go down with new management.

15 minutes between the arrival of the first plate to the last, there were only two occupied tables and we had to call their attention for refills, the food presentation and quality was far less than previous visit. and as a party of four 15% was added as gratuity, which normally it wouldn't be a problem if the service was up to par. they manage to loose four customers,

Don't even waste your time going to this place. Food is served cold and tastes old. Like if it has been there all day. We ordered a lb of Chicharron de catan (was told it was 12 ) only got served 8. No rice in the platter. The sopa de marisco was mostly water with very little mariscos . First and last time ordering from this place. Will tell everyone I know not to even bother going here

Got my 7 mares soup to go. Got 2/3 filled 1 liter cup (10.99). They couldn’t bother filling it. Place to pick up is disorganized. Lady before was told to wait 30 minutes for sides and chips of a platter. ( platter was done) then she was asked to return something that was in her platter that wasn’t from her order.. like really?? Miss the old huachinango taste and owners. New management is a mess. (3/23/18)
