Recently went here for breakkie (their breakfasts are always good) and had the maple fried chicken waffle ....was amazing. Good food....decent location....staff okay but its just breakkie. Has work functions there previously and staff were very professional....allows the whole or part of the top floor to be reserved which is a good space.

First of all let me start by stating the food was nice but the Spanish potatoes came out with hollandaise sauce which it did not state on the menu. Also they are under staffed and everything feels rushed you have to go up and order which is no big deal just don't say you'll come over if it's clearly not that type of establishment. The lack of staff is why we didn't bother saying anything about the hollandaise. Also they where out of green juice that is on their menu so I ordered what was meant to be a fresh orange juice which tasted rather watered down.
Wouldn't return again even though the food was tasty.

Had a work meeting here.. Nice decor, calm and peaceful place. Good place to have meetings. The coffee was nice and they even reduced the volume of the music for us, as we were doing the meeting at a table directly under one of the speakers.

What a gem hidden away in Perth. I was so happy to stumble across this cafe. The service was prompt and friendly, they were very attentive and accommodating. The breakfast was great we went back several times on our stay and it never disappointing. The coffee was also that good I ordered two each time.

Unfortunately for Etro, they caught me on a boring morning. <br/><br/>Having geared myself for the pulled pork waffle or the mushroom ragout, I arrived, enjoyed my first coffee (3.7/5) and froze. <br/><br/>Like the proverbial deer in the headlights, I was unable to decide. <br/><br/>My inner being was craving simplicity and heartiness....so....I had.......smashed avo with a side of bacon. <br/><br/>There, I have said it, judge me how you will. <br/><br/>But, then unburdened by my decision making, I turned my attention to enjoying what was a very tasty presentation of the breakfast staple. The cherry tomatoes and mint giving me two of my favourite flavours to accompany a goodly serve of av and thick cut sourdough. <br/><br/>The bacon was a little unexciting for a $5 side, but that seems to be the norm. <br/><br/>My similarly unadventurous dining trio of breakfast buddies buried themselves in similarly conservative options. <br/><br/>Two lots of scrambled eggs with a side of bacon and a bacon and egg wrap and no complaints were registered. <br/><br/>As for the rest of the experience, service was friendly and prompt, food was hot, and apart from the B&E wrap, all arrived together. So nothing really to whinge about too much there either. <br/><br/>All in all, solid performance, I would like to offer more, but, and I'll take the blame, we were all too boring to let Etro showcase their goods...better go back for another try. <br/>

Oh my gosh!?!? How have we managed to walk past this place for so long???? We stopped in (finally) for breakfast and it was spectacular! I had the mushroom, haloumi, spinach and poached egg on toast whilst the wife had French toast with maple syrup, banana, berry compote and bacon. Both were S-E-N-S-A-T-I-O-N-A-L!!! And so reasonably priced...for Perth. The coffee was similarly impressive. We promise to stop walking by with out stopping from now on. ☺️

I love nothing more than finding a new breakfast spot for Ms. D and I to venture to. We had the opportunity to have breakfast in the newly renovated Etro Café & Bistro in Perth CBD. Etro is in a very central location on the corner of Murray St. and King St. in the CBD. The first thing you will notice are the tables outside and large windows but cast your eyes above that and you will see a very funky rooftop bar. It was looking good and we hadn’t even stepped inside.

As A Chef That only gets a small amount of time of freedom before I have to head back to working in a kitchen elsewhere, I found the food was great and I am the sort of person that will say it how it is and if the food was crap then I would say so. The chefs at Etro need to give themselves a pat on the back, The Kitchen was clean The food had all the trade marks of greatness. The only bad point was the service just need to be worked on. Well Done Etro..

Just came again. Nothing has changed - still hitting a good steady standard.<br/><br/>Everything is about $20. The food is prepared fresh and is tasty. Don't know why but I keep finding all day breakfast places lately. Open steak sandwich and Malaysian Rice - 2 thumbs up. Coffee a bit warm (not hot) and very mild; well prepared though.

After checking out the murals in Wolf Lane I popped into Etro for a bruschetta. Now I've eaten a lot of bruschetta's in my time most with tomato and a truckload of garlic. Sometimes there are mushrooms which is usually a nice addition. This one was seriously good. The tomatoes were wonderfully fresh, no mushrooms but heaps of avocado. The avocado made it really rich and delicious!!! It was so filling I could only fit in a coffee. This was a little while ago and I still haven't found a better one. I've been back a few times. Love sitting inside watching the passing corporate parade at lunchtime. You can park around the corner in the Murray St car park. Well worth a visit. Check out the mural on the back wall too.

Good golly the service here was shocking. Other than that, the pulled pork waffle was divine! I came for lunch and definitely want to come back to try the breakfast menu, so many tasty options. And the chef's Instagram looks amazing. The granola muesli with green tea panna cota was delicious (although my first so I have no comparison point) and the granola was not too crunchy (personal preference).

Etro has become a regular bunching spot for me and my boyfriend. We've never had a bunching experience less than great here.<br/>Food comes in reasonable time, presentation is appealing, and the flavours are always incredible. I also feel the Etro is reasonably priced (for Perth) with an average of $50-$60 spend for 2, when choosing from the pricier options.<br/><br/>Today, I got the Potato Cake with black pudding, and fresh apple juice on the side.<br/>For starters, the apple juice is amazing. Incredably fresh, and made with the skin and flesh of granny smiths. It leaves that slightly coarse feeling in your mouth when you drink it, which I personally favour.<br/>As for the Potato Cake, the combination of flavours was fantastic. Spinach wilted under the warmth of the thick, creamy potato patty; a generous slice of black pudding, a perfectly poached egg drizzled with a light, creamy sauce, and finally, littered with mushroom and fresh tomato.<br/>I rate today's experience a 4.5/5 but I'm giving it a 5 bc they really deserve a higher average rating than what they have. (3.2????????)

Bircher Muesli with Green Tea Pannacotta was yumm. Pannacotta was smooth and creamy as it should be. We also ordered Pulled Pork Waffle Benedict. Pulled Pork was juicy but a tad too salty. What I didn't like was the crunchy rosti got soggy after a while because of miso creme fraiche. I loved my Crumbed Poached Eggs dish. Not a big fan of anchovies, but dont mind it. Roasted pepper, feta, salsa verde on brioche were all nice together. Will go back again to try their Fried Chicken Waffle & Matcha Pannacotta.<br/><br/>--------------------------------------------------<br/>Had a quick lunch today with ex-colleagues. Wasn't sure where to go but decided to give Etro a go. Glad we did. We both ordered special dish of the day: Tempura Flathead with Salad & Chips. It's literally one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Batter was light and not oily at all. Generous amount of chips too. Flat white for drinks, it's pretty nice. Service was okay. Wouldn't mind going back again to try other dishes.

Had breakfast at Etro this morning. Lovely breakfast, just one point off though, lovely Barretts bread toast is always a disappointment when accompanied by Kraft jams in a sachet (awful stuff). Otherwise everything else really nice and the coffee is extra good. We really appreciated the friendly and accommodating staff too. Reasonably priced too.

I thought Etro was getting better after I saw their new menu, with massive improvements - there must have been a change in owners. However, today's visit brought to light the fact they still suffer from the same service issues that plague Perth cafes. We ordered a coffee and had to remind the staff about it 3 times after that over a 45 minute period. We never got the coffee. That's bad, even by Perth standards. Pick up your game, Etro.

One of the better breakfast restaurants in Perth, very nicely decorated, vintage and grunge atmosphere.<br/>We were greeted nicely and taken care of straight away, service was amazing, we ordered 2 dishes, egg Royale and rock n roll,<br/>The rock and roll burger was lovely, loved it. Eggs were fried perfectly and bacon was cooked to my likings, the sauce was amazing and hash brown complimented the burger nicely.<br/>The egg Royale was amazing, but it's weird to be called egg royal as the main attraction were the potato balls, crisp surface and mashed potato inside, the toppings were just enough to match with potato and the tomatoes and spinach gave it a fine finish, everything was great apart from the egg in the egg Royale was a little over poached <br/>Great price for flavours and servings as some restaurants are not up to this standard but charge the same price .

Terrible. I booked this place for brunch for a small group of us through Dimmi after the HBF Run for a Reason. I made the booking a week over a week in advance, but decided to change the time I had booked for. I called many times, at different times of the day and I also tried to different email addresses - one from the confirmed booking and one from their website. No answer/no reply. In the meantime I got two separate booking confirmations from Dimmi. We turned up at the cafe just before the time we were originally booked for only to be told that our booking didn't count and that it was Dimmi's fault and not the responsibility of the cafe. No apology was offered and the waiters response was clearly rehearsed so this has obviously happened before! We were told that we would have to wait outside for a table - minimum of 20 minutes. After a 12km run when we had already booked! We tried to order some coffees and we were told we would also have to wait twenty minutes for a coffee. In the end we decided to go around the corner to a pub, where we were served immediately by cheerful and polite waiters/bartenders. I don't usually write reviews but I was so angered by the rudesness and total lack of professionalism of the the staff at Etro that I felt I had to. Here is an idea Etro staff - if you don't want to use an internet service to take bookings, get your business off the website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed. I always look forward to coffee and food at Etro when i visit Perth. However management must have changed since my last visit. When ordering breakfast i was told i was unable to make any variations to the set menus even when all i wanted to do was substitute the poached eggs to scrambled. My only option was to order eggs on their own and add all the extras. Makes for a more costly alternative. This despite a note on the menu stating minor changes would be accommodated.<br/>Very disappointing

Great food and coffee, poor service. We were blatantly ignored when we got there and weren't seated despite tables being available. Staff were rude and short. Coffee sat on point for 15+ minutes before being brought out. Wouldn't split bills.<br/><br/>Despite all that I'd still recommend this place as the food is delicious and filling and the coffee is consistently good.

Hit and Miss. I've just returned from lunch. I am bright red as it was so hot inside and there was no aircon or fan on. The service was very slow. One of my colleagues couldn't stay the whole time and since they didn't have A SINGLE vegetarian option on the menu just ordered some chips. When they still hadn't arrived and she had to leave she asked the waitress to cancel the order, unless they were already cooked. Five minutes later she left and a few minutes after that they chips came out.<br/>The food we received was all very nice so that was a hit but I doubt I will be returning.

Rude!. My husband and I and our newborn went to etro yesterday and had a nice breakfast, though customer service wasn't all that flash. Today we came back and the host was so rude to us. He said we couldn't have our pram anywhere except in the extremely hot sun outside even though another family had their pram in the restaurant. He wouldn't even try to rearrange a table for us and didn't suggest we wait or anything. He just cut me off each time I tried to speak and basically herded us out of there ASAP. I am so angry. I'll never ever go there again. Terrible service.

Service would have been faster if staffed by the dead.. The appaulingly slow service provided by the overstaffed etro was second to none. After being kindly ignored, we managed to find one of the few tables that had been cleared. Unfortunately for anyone else who arrived after us, these tables would remain cluttered with the half strewn leftovers of the previous patrons for the next 30-40 min. While we stared at the three floor staff as they struggled to process the fifteen peoples breakfasts we began to wonder if a menu would ever be offered to us. Don't worry, I found one on one of the uncleaned tables, and another, and another.<br/><br/>The irony is that the food is very good, and churned out by two amazing chefs who seem to maintain a perpetual gaze that smacked of : "damn our front of house suck, but we will make it up to you with food".<br/><br/>If you have the time, and the patience, then go for it.

Great for a group breakfast. Very please with how the cafe handled a booking of 11 people for breakfast one morning. We were asked to order our meals in advance so there was no hustle and bustle for 15 minutes on the day. Once we said OK to the waiter, the drinks and food started coming out quickly. In fact I was very impressed with how they managed to bring out 11 individual meals (I mean, every single person had ordered something different from the menu) within a few minutes.<br/>It's a bit pricey for breakfast, but then again these kind of "fancy" breakfast meals are getting pricey everywhere you go I suppose...

Has potential but let down by service. Every time I go to Etro, I want desperately to like it. Everything on their menu sounds tasty, and some of the offerings are quite original (Espresso pancakes? Genius!). Every time I have gone, the customer service has been lacking. <br/><br/>Most recently, my husband and I stopped by on a Sunday morning. We sat down at a table and grabbed a passing waitress for menus. She immediately brings us menus and says she will come back to take our orders "when she can". After waiting for 10 minutes, another waitress notices we have menus and no food or drinks. Upon discovering we haven't ordered, she takes our order. After 5 minutes, we get our coffee, which tasted more bitter/burnt than I prefer. We then wait ~15-20 minutes for our food. My corn fritters tasted nice, but were cold and, as far as I could tell, didn't actually have corn in them. My husband was happy with his calamari and while he said it wasn't the best he's ever had, it wasn't bad either. <br/><br/>I'm happy to wait for food if it's amazing. And while Etro's food is good, I would not call it amazing by a long shot. Certainly not worth waiting 30 minutes for. It's a shame, because there is quite a lot of potential here. If they could fix their customer service and generally clean up their processes, I'd happily stop by more often. Until then, I'll pop my head in maybe once a year but no more than that.

Over priced and slowest service ever. $12 for a toasted sandwich of ham and cheese , this is outrageous and the worst part was that I ordered I croissant with ham and cheese. <br/>To add to my poor experience was I waited at the coffee counter to order takeaway coffee and no one acknowledged me, it took me to ask a waitress how and where I order at which the place is so poorly layed out you can't even see the till to order at . Why not have it at the normal coffee counter and teach the staff how to greet customers . Don't waist your time or money.

YUM!. Great little cafe in King Street, initially went to Tiger Tiger and groaned at the same old boring menu so wandered out and around the corner and found Etro. We both had the PORKY PIG - crispy pork belly with a salad of shredded lettuce, bean shoots, coriander, mint, julienne capsicum, cucumber, toasted rice and peanuts with a spicy palm sugar dressing. Hooray for Henry. I have visited Etro on a couple of occasions for lunch with a group of work friends. Each time we have been very impressed with the food offerings, but better than this is the fabulous service we have received from Henry. He is a true hospitality professional. Hooray for you Henry!!

Dinner Friday night, delicious. Lamb shank literally falling off the bone and melting in your mouth. Both steaks cooked perfectly and not smothered in sauce- the way I like it.<br/>Excellent.

Superb staff and experience. We tried this by chance today for lunch and were overwhelmed by the superb service and consideration of the staff here. From the very friendly ("Polo people must stick together") to the beautiful girl who willingly served us and checked with the chef multiple times to the chef who made a beautiful custom salad all excellent.<br/><br/>Muy wife is very sensitive to gluten in her food, such that any can make her very sick so we need to be very careful. The waitress was excellent, checking with the chef at least twice about ingredients and dressing and in the end chef very kingly compiled a customised Caeser salad.<br/><br/>Not being gluten free I can eat off the menu with ease and I had what must be the best Steak Sandwich I have ever had. Really wonderful with flavours and textures perfectly balanced.<br/><br/>The Coffee was really good too and the freshly squeezed apple juice was most refreshing. I don't know how they only got a 50% rating here because we found it excellent and would definitely recommend them. Hopefully this review will help even the balance a bit.

Came here for Valentine's day. We asked for no chorizo on the entree share plate, they replaced it with haloumi without us asking or them even telling us. Great service! For the main we both had the lobster, was cooked very well and came with a couple of scallops and prawns. The dessert was amazing also. Service was very good, didn't have to wait long between meals and they were on the ball with asking for more drinks and how everything was. Not bad for a $99 dinner for 2 people on Valentine's Day! Could've easily charged $99 each.

So disappointed with etro, wouldn't recommend & will not be back. We visited before bruce springsteen concert so was busy but the whole place is not pretty small & wasn't full so should have been manageable. Ordered bruschetta & a mezze plate but after an hour waiting we gave up and had to leave. We were told it was another 10 minutes away but Cannot see how such simple food should take so long!

Great breakfast. This is the third time I've dined at Etro for breakfast on a weekend and I have been impressed each time. Standard bacon and eggs, and coffee ordered. Bacon and eggs were excellent. Bacon was well cooked (not just boiled and slapped on the grill for a bit of colour as seems to be the case nowadays), with some yummy crispy bits and loads of flavour. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Coffee was excellent. Service was good. So nice to have a good and consistent place to go in Perth CBD of a weekend.

Don't recommend. Went in for desert<br/>The good: Service was good and venue was nice aesthetically.<br/><br/>The bad: We were very hot as there is no air-conditioning. Deserts were very bland in flavour (I had the profiteroles, the custard had no flavour). Portions were to small for the steep price tag.

Very poor service. Actually for service to be poor, there needs to be at least some. So in reality there was no service. Our presence was not acknowledged in any way, shape or form, so after an awkward wait we simply walked down the street to Uncle Joe's Mess Hall. A good decision, recommend you do the same.

Came in for a quick coffee and bite to eat. Service was good however when we ordered bread and dips, we received a single dip that tasted like a supermarket dip and olive oil/balsamic. Not impressed.

Great service by manager. Attentive and very friendly!! Tapas and wine were fantastic.. Garlic Prawns a MUST! Only complaint is Scoopon said $50 Tapas + $25 Wine and when we paid the bill they said they know the Scoopon is "worded badly", but it's just $50 in total??! No apologies by staff member

Nice enough. Had lunch here Thursday around 1pm because our first choice (Country Road) cafe was completely full and didn't really accommodate a pram with all the people (the meals looked great and I will be back).<br/><br/>Wandered up Kings St and saw that Etro would be suitable so took a seat inside. <br/><br/>They were quite busy but the waitress came over to take our drink order not long after we were seated.<br/><br/>Ordered the Caesar with smoked salmon (dressing on the side) and the haloumi and chorizo salad. Also asked if we could have a jug of hot water to heat my friend's baby formula which they were happy to do.<br/><br/>The haloumi salad was nicely dressed and my friend said it was really tasty. Mine lunch choice was also good and had bacon pieces, croutons, anchovies and a sliced boiled egg to add flavour. Two generous slices of salmon were on top. The lettuce was nice but a day or so old as the bottom of some were starting to brown. Nothing too bad so I just trimmed off those bits.<br/><br/>Total bill came to $44. I was happy with that and the atmosphere inside is nice; noisy enough for atmosphere but quiet enough to chat and let a sleeping baby sleep.

Look they try ... But don't deliver ... Got burnt pancakes sent them back via manager and got burnt pancakes again. That was after waiting 40 min for first lot and 20 min for second. The manager was very apologetic and didn't charge me for the pancakes which was something I guess. Went back today 6 months later. After saying my wife only had 30 minutes cause she started work food didn't arrive and she had to leave. My Poached eggs were overlooked, manager didn't bring water after I asked for it. Had to have breakfast by myself. What more can I say. Won't be going back I guess.

Brekky Review. It is not hard to get breakfast right and Etro do exactly that.<br/>Food was tasty, presentation good and the service was great. John (manager I think) was quite attentive and keen. Prices a little high but that has been the norm around Perth for quite some time.Their incentive cards are handy and as the food is good we keep returning.

How can such a great location be let down by crap food, made from chefs/cooks who clearly don't care because my salad was on the verge of being off, served by waiters who clearly don't have a clue. Overpriced just because it's on king st. I won't be coming back, that's for sure.

Terrible Service. Came here for lunch recently with my family and it is NOT worth the price tag for overpriced cafe food. The cafe looks nice, but had absolutely disgusting service. We had to flag a waitress down to order food and drinks, and my sisters had ordered a chocolate milkshake and I decided they looked so nice I would try one too. Instead mine came out as vanilla, when I told the girl she acted as if she didn't believe me, went back to check the order and then told the guy who made the drink it should have been chocolate. So what do they do? Instead of doing the right thing and re making it as it was there stuff up, they just added some chocolate sauce and handed it back to me. You could see an obvious difference between my drink compared to my family. Oh, and they didn't even apologise for their screw up (although the girl did mention that the order was taken correctly for what I wanted.) Secondly, my mother ordered the curry and the girl asked her if she wanted rice with it which she said yes. They brought out the dish without rice, and the curry was very oily. When my mum questioned about the rice the waitress' answer was "oh, we don't do rice anymore." In which my mum responded "Why didn't you tell me this earlier? I would have ordered a different meal." The waitress was rude and unapologetic. The only time any one of the staff was polite was when we payed the $130 bill they gave us.<br/><br/>If you're going to act like a trendy cafe in King St and charge higher prices than others, maybe your customer service should be up to scratch. The food was average, and the service so rude that I will NEVER go there again. And I recommend anyone else to spend your hard earned money somewhere they actually appreciate your patronage. As someone who comes from a hospitality background, these guys need to pick up their game because bad service spreads quickly!

Good service... Nice friendly atmosphere no need to book we had the scoopon so we dined at the rooftop bar scallops was amazing! There is so much flavour only problem is u want more and more garlic prawns also good.. The manager or owner was very accomadating and friendly would recommend as a place to go for pre drinks and tapas before a night out! Thanks John!

Pre Opera dinner.. It was the last night of Don Giovanni, and I had forgotten to book a table.<br/>We took a quick wander, down King street and found (after a bit of Tiffany window shopping) the delightful Etro. Very handily situated. <br/>The staff were all very friendly and helpful. <br/>Our meals of prawns and scallops, was delicious. Bravo to the chef. <br/>Lovely wine and mouth watering cakes. I will be back to try the crepes.

Both times I've been here the food has been good, the service is good (particularly the diplomatic manager who is very friendly) HOWEVER both times I've been here I've had to queue for 15-20 minutes JUST TO PAY!!! It's an incredible inconvenience and for this reason unfortunately I'll never dine here again.

Breakfast Shambles. The cafe has seemed to have changed due to new food and staff. For starters waits on coffee were at around 30 minutes for a half full restaurant, with numerous customers complaining about orders and timing of service. The staff walked past breakfast sitting on the pass for 10 minutes, actually looking at the food and doing nothing about it. It was then served completely cold to customers and had to be returned. Etro used to be a place where you could expect good service and good food, and was just extremely dissapointed in how this has changed, maybe it was an off day for etro but wont be returning.

I set up my urbanspoon account especially to say how discraced i was with this particular restraunt.its a shame cos it actually looks lovely inside and great location. sadly enough the food is not worth the price although its taste and flavour are okay.and the coffees were watery and luke warm no crema or creaminess at all.the attendance of the waiter and waitress was terrible. even though one looked rite at methey still stood there speakin german or french im not too sure. they never came and asked for my order until 15 minutes and there were only 4 other tables/customers. its so rude to have a discussion conversation and ignore ur customers. on top of that. wen my coffee came out the barista had to ring the bell 4 times before the waiter had even brought it out which took about ten minutes! barista and cook/chef all seemed to work pretty well but the table service is terrible! and i dont enjoy luke warm coffe because they would rather stand around and talk. either the owner has to be around more often or maybe get a supervisor??

Really like the choco nana toast, lovely presentation and beautiful taste. Coffee is good also, the only disappointment is the service a bit slow, have to wait a while to get served. But at the end, the food is worthwhile waiting.

Today me and my partner decided to go for somewhere to breakfast, drive through the city and saw this little cafe at the corner, so we went in to try their breakfast and coffee. We were greeted by the friendly staff and really like the simplicity of the menu they given to us. Coffee was just nice and food was good too. Love the muffins, they are lovely! A good lovely breakfast on Easter Saturday to start my day! Would definitely come back again and perhaps try their dinner?

Worst of Perth. I wish they made a morning after pill for horrible food the likes of which are served at Etro "Bistro". I need this thing out of my body. <br/><br/>I ordered a steak sandwich, this is what the menu said and what was actually served.<br/><br/>"Black Angus Sirloin" - translation: <br/>Gray, boiled skirt steak "meat" with multiple gristle/fat parts throughout including a strip of 2x1x10cm hard gristle. Added to a cold pan, boiling in its own water for a solid 10-15 minutes. No sign of any pink or rare meat, or a charred, darkened crust. Cooked "What the hell is the Maillard Reaction"? Style<br/><br/>"Caramelised onions" - translation:<br/>Soften, boiled, cold and tasteless translucent something wet and soggy filler.<br/><br/>"Sourdough Bread" - translation: <br/>Bread barely warmed in a pan then coated in oil, served cold, soft and oily with black charred pan scrapings for extra crunch.<br/><br/>"Tomato" - translation<br/>Boiled, cold red mush plonked in the middle of the sandwich, covering 20% of the surface of the "steak". Skin included for extra slip factor when attempting to eat. <br/><br/>"Seasoned Fries" - translation:<br/>A bare sprinkling of salt, like we live in the year 1600 and salt can only be traded for in the Dutch East Indies. Cooked in old, overused oil and served with a "sprinkling of black char from the fryer because we cant afford new oil and this kind of looks like pepper" seasoning<br/><br/>After trying to eat this cold dismal 'sandwich' joke, I gave up and took it to two waiters standing around chatting while 'food' was waiting to be served from the kitchen. When one waiter saw me bringing back the plate of the kitchen's garbage to them, she walked off. After explaining the many problems with serving Depression Era scraps as food to the other blank faced waiter, I received a "sorry" from him. Someone give this guy a Customer Satisfaction Merit Badge. <br/><br/>No discount, no compensatory coffee or anything of the sort. The prior week I ate at Vans Cafe and found a bit of paper in my meal which was compensated for with 4 free coffees. So understandably, Etro's response was infuriating. <br/><br/>Because of the open-ish kitchen and my seating position, I later saw the "chef" shrug his shoulders when informed of the problem and I watched on as another "cold meat pile" looking exactly the same as mine made its way to another unsuspecting victim of Etro's Horrible & Overpriced Food Scam.<br/><br/>Etro's owners need to spend more time either hiring a decent chef and staff or training the janitor who currently runs the kitchen and the blank automoton waiters than wasting that time and money on mobile apps and websites. Start with basics first. Like food for instance. <br/><br/>To anyone considering 'dining' at Etro, you'd be better off to throw your money on the ground and eat out of a kebab shop dumpster. Avoid like the plague.

Do not bother going here if you are even remotely hungry as the service staff havent got a clue and also couldnt care less - I waited an hour for my breakfast on Sunday morning even though I ordered with another small group of people, they left 2 of us of the order - then after we finally pointed out that we hadnt had our meal (they had served more drinks to our table and been past many times but hadnt clocked it) they then brought the other persons meal but not mine - I then waited and everytime the waitress passed she shrugged at me until finally I took matters into my own hands and went to the Kitchen - they werent even aware I was waiting for my order so I ended up having to eat it (when it finally came) on my own. If I hadnt been so hungry I would have gone elsewhere. Perth please stop patronising such places as you are only encouraging the terrible service that seems so prevalent in this city.

Poor food & no atmosphere. Treated my brother and his girlfriend out for his birthday and was looking forward to a nice meal. Saturday night and the place was virtually empty, we waited too long for the tasteless food and to top it all off I got the runs about 15 minutes after leaving. Sorry but something is very wrong with that kitchen. Definitely not going back.
