Beautiful big cafe with a ranged but not bloated menu, good prices too. The food was excellent, my pancakes were amazing and just the right size serving.

Third time I've tried this bland, uninspiring cafe with it's same same menu inclusive of smashed avocado etc. Once again left completely underwhelmed after a salad totally lacking in any flavour with an almost non existent dressing. Not sure if the counter staff attitude was disinterest or disdain.

Went there for the first time on a work colleague’s recommendation who is a regular. Was immediately welcomed by owner Annie who commenced the conversation by commenting favourably on my bobble-headed Shark’s cap (I’m an avid East Freo supporter 🦈) .. nice touch! Despite being crushingly busy (yes, I was concerned I’d miss the start of the game!), our meals were delivered promptly and courteously. AND they were open on a public holiday! Lovely community feel and after the experience and asked myself - as one does - would I go back again ..??.. absolutely! Would I recommend it to others ..??.. you bet! Many thanks for a memorable culinary adventure, Richard “the Sharkman” ps the food was amazing!

In the tradition of Saturday brunch and in search of an open fire on a rainy day we headed here. He had his standard big breaky and I had my fave eggs bene. You'll be sick of reading that but when your on a good thing ... Anyway he said his was great (it had beans!) but mine was a bit cooler than I like it which was a shame because it was nice otherwise. Junior said the croissant was good. Pretty coffee art and good service. A popular place compared to the other cafe in the same complex.

Food: Delicious! Their beer-battered chips are to die for. I always get the Iced chocolate with ice-cream and cream. Their chocolate mousse cake is spectacular.<br/><br/>Service: The staff are lovely and friendly. Waiting time is reasonable.<br/><br/>Look and feel: Cute and chill vibe. Very cosy and they even have a fireplace!

Met with a few friends here for lunch. Decent amount of parking today (it was a public holiday). Friendly staff and quick service. We had the public holiday menu. We ordered the linguine with preserved lemon, peas, brussel spouts, and parmesan. It was ok. Didn't have anything special to it and they slightly overcooked the linguine. We also had the bacon, scrambled egg, spinach, gruyere burger with tomato relish. It was ok. The granola was more like a bircher. The poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and chorizo was quite a small portion considering it cost about $23. They got my friend's order wrong, when she ordered a large chai and they gave her a regular one. And they don't really do piccolos. They gave two shots of coffee in a small glass cup and the milk separate. <br/><br/>Food quality and quantity could be better improved.

I visited for breakfast and ordered the hashbrown with pickled veg. It wasn't that great for me and I feel the price of $17 for something like this was quite high. The service was amazing, but perhaps chose the wrong item.

Have been to this cafe many times. Its always crowded and tough to get a seat during the peak hours. But its a place recommended for breakie, worth to beat the peak period! I have had their pancakes, smashed avocado, spiced pumpkin and hashbrown. The food tastes great but the only problem is with the serving size and drinks. Am not the biggest fan of their milkshakes, hot chocolate and smoothies. Hope they could improve on those.<br/><br/>Update: <br/>i am in love with their Mocha recently. <br/>Staffs are really friendly and great. <br/>Recently had their savoury muffins and brownies which have been good.

Worst breakfast ever!! Thick, half buttered sour dough , cremated bacon 🥓 and few days old baked beans... terrible and not to mention the extra thick strawberry milkshake , yellow strawberry and old wafer biscotti.. long past it use by date!! Giving them 1 for service otherwise a zero!! Nice setting though !!and $65 for 2 people, a ripoff!! 🚶‍♀️

Must be a Little stove coz the bacon and poached eggs were tiny! I felt like asking if this was the kids meal 😳 spent $16.50 for two of the tiniest pieces of toast, literally one rasher of bacon cut in half and two small poached eggs that were borderline hard boiled. Pretty poor. Throw in a $7.50 milkshake, which is just milk, flavouring and blended with ice (not ice cream even) and breakfast adds up to $24 and prob would of cost somewhere around $3.50 to $4 for them. Cheers Little Stove, have fun ripping off others next time coz Sweetlips isn't coming back! 👎

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Little Stove this New Year's Day, a good start to the year. Husband had the bacon, parmesan and scrambled egg in a bun, which he really enjoyed but would have liked to have had a proper plate to eat it from instead of the awkward little board which was too small. I had poached eggs on rye with a side of avocado which was perfect. Tea and coffee were both very good and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will be bringing a small group back next Saturday morning seeing as it was so nice.

I got the scrambled egg, tomato relish burger with a side of smoked salmon. It was actually excellent- it was a simple dish, but it tasted so warm and homely. The wholemeal bun was toasted and buttered, and creamy scrambled eggs and big pieces of smoked salmon sat on it. The tomato relish was wonderful and smokey, and I loved that you could add your own sauces.

What a gem of a place, tucked away in a residential area. Cosy, kitschy, cool interior and good quality food to match. Partner got the big breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed but wished there was a tad more of a serving given the price. I was very content with my gruyere scrambled eggs with bacon, chutney on bap. Simple yet flavourful and fresh tasting. The cold brew was great! The citrus taste threw me off it took a few sips to decide whether I liked it and I loved it! Added a tad of milk to make it less strong. Generous serving for $5. Will visit again.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a Little Stove nestled away in suburbia.  The cafe's what you'd expect to find in Northbridge, or similar, with an interesting interior and quirky style.  The food and drink range are great, especially the breaky menu.  Would be a great local cafe for those nearby.  A must try!

Gorgeous little suburban cafe, with a cozy, vintage vibe. The energy level was really buzzing with lots of people choosing it as an ideal place to catch up with friends. The staff were lovely and clearly had a good relationship with their "regulars". Long mac was well made - nice and strong but not at all bitter. Banana bread was delicious with walnuts and hazelnuts throughout, served with a generous amount of walnut butter. It was on the more expensive side (coffee and b-bread cost over $13) but I really did enjoy it!

Today I thought I would explore closer to home and came for a latish brekkie just before 9am to The Little Stove. What a find. This Café, not at all that little, is in a nice neighbourhood, and it was buzzing; why does no one have to work on Friday? It’s nice café with options to dine inside on tables, or stools, or if even alfresco. After ordering at the counter a long Mac and the new dish chorizo and poached egg cassoulet with lemon brined chicken and toast, I went with bar and stool options along with the West Australian. It was busy, so coffee did take a little while, but I was in no rush. When it arrived it was a prefect long Mac and nice and warm. Brekkie came not soon after and smelled of wintery goodness. I had a bad experience with an under flavoured cassoulet recently, but this was how it should be, punchy flavours from the chorizo, with a bit of acidity and nice spicy kick. It was topped with a poached egg oozing its golden goodness into the cassoulet. There was an egg, so there must be a chicken, and a very tasty one at that. Loved the dish and the waitress asked how I liked their new dish, and I told her it was excellent; my empty plate confirmed that too. Staff were friendly and you could see they took great pride in making the experience special for everyone. Will come back soon to try some of the other tasty options or some cake that I spied in the cabinet.

A loyal lounger, Little Stove has for years been the out-of-my-neighborhood gem to go to when I want a quiet spot to get some reading done while sipping on a cup of coffee or with a pot of one of their many varieties of teas available.<br/><br/>Contrasted with a fresh grain salad and offering a subtle spice themselves, the hashbrowns share the same quality that has been consistent with the menu over the years, though I do really miss the homemade crumpets and banana bread from way back.

Cute, quaint local with mixed vintage and modern cottage styling. Food was average but expensive considering the small portions. Hash brown was delicious but tiny and soggy due to other ingredients going on top - it was meant to be the main feature but sooo thin. Full breakfast had lovely mushrooms, toast and homemade baked beans - bacon could have been a little crispier. Poached eggs were exactly as they should be. Coffee was smooth but the taste was average. It's out of the way for us - ok for a local if you are ok with the prices, but too far for us.

As my user name suggests, I love going out for breakfast. Came here on Anzac day and it was so busy!!! It was raining so there were tables available outside but like everyone else we wanted to be indoors. As we walked in, some people just walked out so we were lucky enough to get a table. All three of us were going to order the smashed avocado and poached egg on toasted rye, served with rocket and sweet corn and coffees. But as I went to order I noticed that a tables order had arrived, which happened to be the smashed avocado. I wasn't impressed with the look of it so we rethought and ordered poached eggs on toasted sourdough ciabatta with mushrooms and avocado instead. Considering how busy they were, the coffees and breakfast didn't take long at all to arrive. It was breakfast. It hit the spot but didn't wow me. Quite expensive too! They charged a 15% surcharge due to it being a public holiday. They did display signs warning you of the surcharge, so everyone had a choice to stay or leave. On the other hand, the latte was outstanding! It was right up there with the best I've had. Overall, the breakfast was good for what it was, the coffee was awesome, the service was great and the staff were friendly. Would I go back? Maybe but not on a public holiday!

22nd April<br/><br/>Little Stove left me a little disappointed.<br/>This cute neighborhood cafe has a brilliant atmosphere and great coffee but sadly my meal was a bit of a miss :/<br/><br/>I fell in love with the large space, girly decor and abundance of decorated cakes. They offer a well rounded breaky menu centered on local produce (they even have a dedicated section of the menu to attribute their suppliers!) <br/><br/>Looking at the menu, the pancakes jumped out straight away and as it was delivered to our pretty table by the window, I thought I was onto a winner! It came out promptly and decorated like a princess! There were different layers of fruit on each walnut and buckwheat cake-berries, peaches, oranges and then a drizzle of syrup.<br/><br/>As I tucked in I found these weren't your average light, fluffy pancakes. I knew that with buckwheat they would be a bit denser (and probably a lot healthier)...but I didn't expect them to actually taste healthy (a.k.a not that delicious :( ) Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of places like the Raw Kitchen, Flora & Fauna and other cafes that make healthy food taste fab! But sadly this was not one of them :( The fruit and syrup was not sweet enough so instead it was just like eating a dense flavour less cake with a few crunchy walnuts. <br/><br/>My friend ordered the granola with infused milk and it also looked like a masterpiece. She said that it also tasted amazing (which is what it really comes down to.)<br/><br/>Would I come here again? Absolutely! The coffee was great, the vintage corner cafe vibe is cranking and the cakes and menu look amazing! I'm hoping it was just one disappointing meal and that the little stove has something bigger and better to offer!<br/><br/>8th May<br/><br/>Back to Little Stove for Mothers Day and I am happy to say that my experience was a lot better than last time! This time I did order that scrumptious looking granola and OMG it was the best granola I have EVER had! Perfect balance of sweetness. I could drink that infused almond milk from the bucket! I loved the creamy pot set yoghurt contrast with the crunchy hazelnuts and chewy goji berries. Yum yum I can't wait to come back and have it again! Coffee was on point like last time. <br/><br/>I wasn't a big fan of their chai latte though :/ I was interested to try Grouch and Co's authentic chai...especially because it was more reasonably priced ($5.50) than the Prana chai at my local cafe Hoopla. However I didn't end up drinking it! The chai had little petals and cloves actually in the latte! I felt like I needed to drain it myself so it wasn't pleasant sipping the creamy milky drink only to come across chewy bits of herbs.<br/><br/>The service was even better than last time which impressed me considering how busy they were. All dishes were delivered promptly to our table at the same time. The staff seemed like they were really happy to be there and served us with a smile. I liked the complementary love heart cookie I received with my coffee to make it extra special. My family was impressed with their meals for the most part. Arranchini balls were a big hit but my Nanna would of liked it if they were a bit more generous with the side salad and maybe even another ball?<br/>Mum said her lamb burger was too meaty and needed more salad while dad loved it! And the bacon and egg bap went down a hit with my uncle.<br/><br/>It was the perfect Mother's Day setting! Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere and decor. The staff managed to keep everything calm and under control on a very busy day 😊👏

Very overpriced! Smashed avocado is very basic and plain and the pancakes tasted terrible. Swan valley cafe still does the best vegan pancakes in Perth! These two items are the only vegan options you can eat there which was disappointing. Coffee was good and the lychee juice was also very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are some tables outdoors to bring your dog along too. I won't be returning, better cafes around.

Terribly overpriced unpleasant food. Paying $23 for a rocket salad with two slivers of prosciutto is extreme. They were out of pulled pork sandwiches for lunch, so the "special steak burger" was ordered at $20. It was chuck steak on a grocery store bun. The service and decor was nice but pick up your game Little Stove as you won't be getting repeat customers.

25.07.17<br/>Today's visit was rather disappointing. I ordered new Crumpet, Poached Eggs, Hollandaise + Black Puddings dish and also Coffee in Cone. Tiny portion: one (fluffy) crumpet, two overcooked<br/>eggs, and two thin (yummy) black puddings. I think they should review serving size for this dish. Hollandaise Sauce were thick and yumm. Moreover, they should put the Coffee in Cone somewhere else inside of putting it inside a jar. It's easily spilled and makes it a bit unappealing. Service was great as usual. <br/>-------------------------------------------------<br/>Been to Little Stove twice now. They always deliver great food. Actually I was after their famous Buckwheat & Coconut Milk Pancakes, but changed my mind last minute. I ended up ordering Little Stove Bacon (replaced by Mushrooms) & Scrambled Egg, Seeded Bap with Tomato Relish. My sister picked Little Stove Hash Brown with Poached Eggs with Extra Mushrooms. Both dishes were really good. My mushrooms and scrambled egg were nicely cooked. Loved my sister's hash brown too, freshly cooked. I didn't really like her salad coz I'm not a big fan of sprout, but my sister did. For drinks we had Cappuccino & Flat White. Coffees were nice, but came in small cup only. After meals we tried the Lychee and Banana cake. Thought it'll be a bit heavy, but it's not! Banana flavour and smell was strong, lychee not as much. Nice icing, similar like carrot cake's icing, just a bit too sweet for me. I'll come back one day to their pancakes for sure. The girls were lovely and helpful as they love what they're doing. Well done gals!

Little Stove has been one of my favourite cafes for breakfast for a while now.  The décor is quirky, the coffee is great and there are lots of tables outside for Ralf!  We were down that way on Saturday afternoon and realised that we had not eaten all day so quickly decided to get some lunch at Little Stove.  We were pleasantly surprised that it didn't seem as busy as normal, but it was 2.30pm.The service was great as always.  The staff are always so friendly.I ordered the Pulled Pork Toasted Sandwich and JR went for the Burger of the Day.  Both dishes came out with chips and were pretty standard.I think I will probably save my visits to the Little Stove to breakfast as the breakfasts are awesome.

Little Stove in Bicton has been on my list of places to visit for some time, although it’s not an area I get to very often as it’s quite a trek from Ellenbrook. Yesterday, however, I braved the heat to visit the Perth Makers Market in Applecross to support my friends from Little Bit Design, and naturally went looking for breakfast in the area beforehand.

Spacious cafe that seems to be a hidden gem in this suburb. I like the decor of the cafe. Dog owners will be happy to know that their fur kids are welcome here. <br/><br/>Coffee was good. The food wise was to me average unfortunately. The food was nicely decorated and visually very appealing. I think the whole ambience of this place makes up for that weakness in their foods. Each table is decorated with fresh flowers. I can feel that the owners have spent great thoughts and efforts to decorate this place. Seems each and every item placed was given much thoughts upon. <br/><br/>They even have board games around. So I suppose a group can hang out and chill with coffee and have a go at the board games. <br/><br/>I personally enjoy the space between tables and how attentive the staff are in replacing bottles of water on the tables. Staffs are generally friendly. They also got a sofa setting that suits a big group. <br/><br/>So those seeking for a place to try and head this way.

Initially I rated Little Stove a 5 out of 5. Now I've had to change my rating for Little Stove to a 2.5/5. They've changed their menu and taken all the good dishes off. Further, they've raised the prices and made the dish sizes smaller. It's no longer good value for money. The bacon was overcooked and too crispy. I feel bad giving them a harsh rating because the staff are lovely. Please bring back the old menu!!

The little stove is a gorgeous cafe, I love the warm atmosphere and pretty table decorations. We come here with our puppy and always have a good meal. The most recent time we visited I tried the chai latte, it was huge and definitely worth the price. The menu is slightly overpriced especially the coffee. We visited Little Stove for coffee and cake. It has a certain ambiance but when we were there it resembled a zoo. The place is SO NOISY you cannot hear yourself think let alone have a decent conversation with the people at the table. For God's sake why don't they install some sort of acoustic ceilings? They are certainly making enough money!<br/>When we commented on the ruckus the waitress said it is less noisy in summer with the doors open! There is indeed a huge need of improvement in the food department if you are going to charge your customers the unjustified pennies. <br/>"I'll be back" for the charm and smile.

The food here is tasty enough but probably a little overpriced for what it is. The coffee is definitely overpriced (as is common in Perth) and while I've had some good coffee here, I've had a few bitter brews. A great atmosphere though, with the cute/kitsch decor and some cute cards and gifts, it's worth a visit. The service is usually pretty great too.

Wonderful service. I came in the other morning and the cafe was very busy. Was so pleased to see that despite how many customers there were the young girl working at the counter was so friendly. I believe her name was Emily. She was so friendly and happy to help. So lovely to see a smiling face serving you. Will definitely be coming back after this positive experience

Long waiting times. I experienced a very long wait time for my take away coffee this morning. I had to wait 20 minutes. The person making the coffee seemed slow and disnt appear to be trying to speed up te process. Once i go my coffee it tasted burnt and i could not drink it. Very dissappointed considering the coffee cost me $6.50. I will not be going back anytime soon

YUMMY ALL ROUND. Cosy cafe with the fireplace going today while it rained outside - made for a very warm welcome. Friendly attentive service as soon as I walked in. The crumpet with whipped ricotta + honey hit the spot for a morning tea treat - a rather big crumpet with a generous serve of spreads - well worth the $10. Cappucino was very well made and a steal at $4. I like this place. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Probably my only gripe is the noise - lots of kids in a small place doesn't make for a nice enough environment to enjoy a good book with your food, so if you're looking for that, maybe give this cafe a miss.

For breakfast I ordered the hash brown with poached eggs, relish, rocket and parmesan. The eggs were cooked perfectly and went super well with the crunchy hash brown. Surprisingly, I also enjoyed the rocket and parmesan, two things I usually don't eat. The reason why is that the flavour of the rocket and parmesan were mild and it compliment the rest of the dish. I absolutely love, love hash browns. They're great. Little Stove's hash browns were yummy, but slightly too oily for me. There were parts of the hash brown that were oily in taste making it a bit too much for breakfast. I also ordered a flat white, which was very strong. I was happy about this though, because a lot of cafes tend to make their coffee too milky for my liking.

Not Happy- what a Shame. It’s such a shame, great location, beautiful friendly staff, but it’s a real hit and miss with the food. If its value for money you are looking for then you will certainly NOT get this at the Little Stove. I paid $10 for ONE homemade crumpet with honey CAN you believe. It was delicious but surely there should have been two on the plate for that price. I also paid $6.50 for a take away coffee WHAT THE, get a grip.... I don’t see how you can charge $1 for an extra shot and $1.00 for soya milk. The most I normally pay for this coffee is $5.50 which is reasonable. I paid $3.00 for a side of tomatoes and received a 1/4 of a tomato. I paid $3.50 for a side of bacon and got one small not cook very well piece. I really hope this place has a turn around and re-looks at their prices and menu. I wouldn’t pay these prices even if the food was the best food I had ever eaten..... It’s just too expensive.

What a pity...... This place used to be great, unfortunately not anymore. This place is walking distance from my home and with not much else around without having to drive is a real shame this place has no consistency. I have been back a couple of times after a greasy poorly presented brekky in hope things have changed and don't know why I bothered! I have never had a drinkable coffee from here and at $6.50 for a takeaway would expect it to be great. Very disappointing for locals who like support local business. Cute decor and great service service.. Came here for lunch before our paddle board session at Point Walter. The cafe decoration was so relaxing, cute yet trendy, loving the yellow bicycle outside. <br/>My soy flatwhite was great, and yes I am coffee snob. The orange, apple, carrot and beetroot juice was amazing and refreshing. <br/>The lamb burger with chips was delicious. However the open sandwich was corned beef was a bit of a let down, the bread was not toasted so it was very hard to cut in, sauerkraut was very cold for my teeth hence made it less enjoyable , much prefer it at room temperature. <br/>Service was great, the girls were friendly and attentive. <br/>I will return to try other things on the menu.

Went here for breakfast and was really impressed by the attention to detail shown by the staff. The food was good too but after leaving the thing which stuck in my mind the most was that we were served with a bottle of tap water that the staff member felt was a bit too warm so our glasses were already filled with ice. To top it off, another staff member swept in behind nearly immediately to replace a glass we'd just been given because she saw that it had a chip in the rim as it was on the way out.<br/><br/>Tiny noticable things. Met a girl friend at Little Toast for a late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon, it was a comfortable kind of busy which made for a nice vibe. Service was friendly but nothing special. I had "BB French Toast" ($18.00) and my friend created her own breakfast, ordering: fried eggs, bacon and a hash brown.<br/>The "BB French Toast" was meant to be banana bread instead of standard toast. What I received was tasty enough, but it was just panfried banana bread, hardly "French toasted" - if there was any egg in the dish it sure wasn't obvious. And there's definitely meant to be egg in it: that's was I was told by the server when I ordered the dish. Two small pieces of fried banana bread, topped with a spoonful of yoghurt, a small handful of diced pineapple, a banana bread wafer and a bit of maple flavored syrup does not a dish worth $18 make. It was nice, not great, as definitely not French toast.<br/>My friend's meal looked nice when it arrived, but was seriously overpriced: Two fried eggs($13.50) ONE rasher of bacon($3.5) and a hash brown($5.50) for a total of $22.50. When we say down and realized what we'd been charged there was a moment of dumbfounded disbelief.<br/>The pots of tea (for one) ($4.00) allow for a nice selection of teas, and it's a pleasant space.. but the prices based on this experience: exhorbitant. <br/>Undecided how I feel about Little Stove.

For years you guys have been telling me to check out Little Stove. I did make it there for lunch a while back with the promise to myself to return and it is only now that I have finally made it back for breakfast. I am sorry it has taken me so long! This cafe feels exactly like someone's gran was looking over their shoulder as they designed it; they  were doing shabby chic before Mt Lawley even knew what shabby chic was. And this is exactly how they want you to feel with their website saying "imagine a cafe with a warm and inviting atmosphere just like your nana's house and always with coffee on the stove top".  With the terrible weather on Saturday there was of course not one free table inside when we arrived. We asked at the counter if they thought one would be available soon and they said they'd come and get us from outside as soon as one was ready. We ordered some coffees and sat down on the old english rose patterned couches with crocheted blankets for warmth. We waited barely 5 m

My first trip to this place took place some time last September. And since then, Ive been back two other times and have compiled the three visits into this blog post. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Bicton , a small cluster of shops and on the corner sits the vintagey quirky and homey cafe that is popular with the locals and serves up great fare.   Looks like straight out of a home and so good for photo opportunities. Free parking though limited. And on a good day, sitting outside is gorgeous. The counter where you order the coffee and food from. Their cake displays also always look so good. I have been constantly tempted but always too full by the end of brunch. The fireplace couch area never fails to make me smile. It truly is like a cafe modelled in someone's living room. So cute! Some things you can buy... Wld have loved to nicked some of these chairs and cushions for my own place haha! Breakfast menu for the early birds and lunch at 12 noon. Love the table setting with the vinyl

I really liked the fact that there were enough tables to sit at and clean toilets... "The big stove" I ordered filled me up pretty quick and it was delicious.. But the only reason i ordered it was because I thought that it was one of the few things on the menu that was worth for what its priced ($19) One critique would be that I had to remind the waitress to serve us some water

The Little Stove is a quiet corner cafe tucked away along a suburban street in Melville. When we arrived for Brunch around 11am, the cafe was pretty empty, with a few tables filled with people relaxing and have a nice chat over coffee. The menu was retro, printed in graph grid paper that we used in school once upon a time, but it had the usual dishes one would expect for Brunch/Breakfast. Nothing particularly outstanding or unusual.

Hmmm...Pricey. The crumpet with stewed rhubarb and ricotta with honey was not worth the hefty price tag ($15). Where to start... Crumpet: Solid, heavy, stodgy, grey-ish. Oh and lukewarm. Stewed rhubarb: minimal, very sparse pinkish tell tale strands alluding to rhubarb possibly? Was hard to tell as it lacked flavour and was so barely there. Ricotta: Abundant, mountainous, great big dollops of pale chunky curds and whey, the whey leaching onto the plate and mixing with the honey.. Not good. My opinion.. If you must do adventurous menu items, do them well. Perhaps serve the components separately and not lumped wetly and messily together.

Went for lunch on Sunday and was fairly disappointed. I had the arrancini which was one ball of rice with a peice of feta, very lacking in flavour, and a small serve of salad made up of mostly cucumber, bit extortionate for the price. Massive let down. Little Stove is actually in my street and as I work from home thought it would be a good place to have client meetings over lunch etc. Well I guess I will have to put plan B into action....this place is off the list! My partner and I went for lunch and I asked if I could have a slight deviation to the salad. A young lady pipes up from across at the coffee machine and suggests that I have something else...okay felt like it was all too hard so I went with her suggestion...salad with chicken added. Not only did I have dead leaves all over the plate but the chicken was pieces of bone, fat and gristle. I put them on a napkin and took them up to the counter and let them know that I couldn't eat it. No major response or apology and as my partner was already half way through his ordinary baguette I went for the quiche (passable). So deciding to let it go we proceeded to eat said quiche. Well the young lady then proceeds to come out from behind her coffee machine to explain the dish that I took back. So here I sat gob smacked at her explanation that perhaps she should have explained that they use the whole chicken and not just breast...hu??? So you use the bones and the fat and gristle...interesting but still not a plausable explanation. here is where I would have stopped if I was her but no... she then proceeded to tell me that perhaps they should have explained on the menu that they don't just use breast meat...again hu??? ok now you're just being patronising. The food is still inedible and oh one more thing I'm the customer! What a shame as I was really looking forward to having a 'local'....next!

What an awesome find in the small suburb of Bicton – Little Stove!!! Not only was the food and coffee above our expectations, Little Stove provide a quirky vintage space to relax that resembles a lounge room. There are big tables, small ones, a crackling fireplace with couches around it to tell your tales. Crocheted rugs hang on the seats outside to keep you warm and there are two armchairs at the front to add to the vintage charm. Not forgetting the canine clients, well they have a section under a tree and doggie treats can be purchased from the counter.     DD ordered the Big Stove Breakfast ($19.00). The sauteed mushrooms and Mexican inspired baked beans deserve a special mention, yum! The eggs were perfectly poached. I thought i would try a sweet breakfast and the Homemade Crumpets ($15.00)  sounded intriguing – ricotta cheese, stewed rhubarb and honey. The ingredients came together perfectly, heavenly sweet.  The Cappuccino was served with a drizzle of chocolate sauce on the creme

It might not exactly be new, but Little Stove is a cafe that more people should know about. It’s got this charming, country kitchen feel to it with its fireplace, cozy armchairs and shelves full of colourful teapots and antique knickknacks. Great food, coffee and service. The vanilla slice is fantastic as are the monte Carlo biscuits!! Gets busy on weekends so I prefer to go for a mid week feast in hope of avoiding screaming kids. A tad overpriced maybe but still fantastic!

Quaint little place with very cool vintage feel.friendly staff and awesome vibe.took a seat outside today and ordered a skinny cap to go with my scones.<br/><br/>Scones were a little soft overall but the accompanying cream was yummy! Coffee was alright and it was a good experience overall. Definitely back to try more from the menu!<br/><br/>Carrot cake possibly!

We stopped by Little Stove the other morning for some breakfast. I felt like I was in someones kitchen. This is a good thing as we all know kitchens are the best places to hang out when you visit a friends house. Expect: frame clusters, vintage suitcases, old stoves (of course), home made crumpets, sepia photos, good coffee, crocheted bedspreads, todays news paper, poached eggs, friendly staff, comfy armchairs and toasted sourdough. Breakfast lacks flavour. We tried out this local cafe as a new hopeful for us for our weekend breakfast trips. I was keen to go looking at the past reviews but whilst the service was great the food was disappointing. I had the scrambled eggs and baked beans on the side. The eggs did not have much flavour and I needed to add heaps of salt, the baked beans were also lacking in flavour and watery (made my toast completely soggy). My husband had the chevapcici breakfast. Once again, there was a general lack of flavour. Now - onto the service, when I told the staff that my daughter had food allergies, they went out of their way to suggest foods and to adjust the baby chino so as not to have dairy. BUT I have to say that $2.50 for a slurp of milk in an expresso cup is over the top. The cakes in the display looked good, so maybe this can be our new "coffee and cake" pitstop.

There are a few nice things about this place. The coffee is yummy, it's very cute and clean and the cake selection is good. What I like most is the fact that you can go there and have bacon and eggs for under $10. Yes, you heard me, under $10...in Perth. Admittedly there is one rash of bacon, but it's yummy and big and the toast is really good sourdough. Its also close to the loveliest stretch of our beautiful Swan if you feel like an after breaky walk.

Try hard, bad service. I am sure this place had good intentions though, i have to say the decor is a bit lame. Capitalising on the 'indie' fashions of small boutique cafes, Little Stove doesn't quite get it. Creating a 'darling' cafe takes more than chucking some old tv's outside and gathering books from your grandma's spare room. I could've got over this though, especially when it's near my house.<br/><br/>Alas, the service is horrible. The waiter actually left a finished coffee cup on my table after delivering my new coffee and ignored countless other tables littered with prior peoples breakfasts. You have to get your own water, i don't get that. I am not sure who trained these people or if their motivation is to look nonchalant and embody zero work ethic, but they succeed in making me feel bitter about the place.<br/><br/>Situated in privileged Bicton, annoyingly, gives it increasing business regardless of the poor business and uncreative decor. Im guessing rich patrons don't need to worry about their valuable money, they don't sweat it when they spend 8 dollars on a poorly made ice coffee.

My new favourite place!. My family and I decided to head to Little Stove due to all the reviews here and wow! Hubby had the hazlenut croissant and I had a choc/raspberry muffin with a double shot dark roast latte. Simple food you say but it was so so delicious and fresh! The coffee was perfect..nice and strong just how I like it and not boiling hot. Love the decor :) Lovely friendly staff too.

Funky place, food was a let down. Thought we'd try this place based on the 84% score and reviews on here, so rocked up for a leisurely Sunday brekkie. The decor is fantastic and the place has a lovely retro homely feel. I loved the small touches like the old records on the tables, well stocked magazine rack, dog treats on the counter and simple but arty menus. <br/><br/>The breakfast menu is pretty standard with a few interesting twists (homemade crumpet with rhubarb, ricotta and honey; spiced veggie cake). I plumped for 'elle' - poached eggs, smoked salmon, rocket, lemon + sourdough $17 and the other half went for the 'big stove' - bacon, poached eggs sautéed mushrooms, baked beans+ 2 x buttered sour dough $18 and 2 skinny flat-whites. <br/><br/>The coffee was great but sadly the food was less than impressive. The 'elle' was ok but nothing spectacular and although my eggs were perfectly poached they hadn't been dried so all the water leached into the bread, making it horrible and soggy. The other half was even less impressed, his eggs were also wet and the whites weren't quite set, the mushrooms flavourless, the bacon mostly fat and the home-made baked beans were sat in a watery/chalky tasteless sauce. The staff weren't particularly attentive and seemed uninterested. All in all we were disappointingly underwhelmed by the whole experience.

I liked the Little Stove experience, from the menus printed on grid paper that you would have in a school folder to the prompt, friendly, male-customer-encouraging service. For a bloke though, and particularly one who has just earned a hearty breakfast, the brekky menu was a bit of a disappointment. No Eggs Benny, for starters. Limited choices of pig. Yoghurt has no place being served on a Saturday morning - unless it is drizzled over a porcine product for some obscure reason. I did note a pile of wine glasses though. Perhaps after the 29th...

Disappointed.. Went there for the first time this morning. <br/>Really cute cafe and good service but I was extremely disappointed in my salad. <br/>I ordered the [duck salad-crispy noodles, asian veg, herbs] <br/>Out came this salad that looked different to anything I had seen salad wise and I was excited to try it,but as i scavenged through it checking out how it was put together,i was really let down .<br/>I had maybe 3 Tablespoons equivalent of some shredded duck which was tasty but the flavouring on it took the obvious duck flavor away from it,the main two so called 'asian' veg items were shredded beans and some red capsicum(not very excited or a good flavour combo) and as for herbs..there was maybe three corriander leaves and some stem and all this was mixed in through some air light fried noodles. for $20 I expect ALOT more. Not ignoring how much duck costs but cmon..it was pretty ridiculous. I wont be ordering food from here again. I'm not willing to just hand over $20 for a meal that will leave you hungry afterwards. <br/>Next time I might just try out the coffee..I hear that its not bad at all

Such a cute brekky place!. Went to little stove today for the first time - what a find! the decor is very cute and the staff were lovely. The breakfasts were amazing. I had the home-made crumpet, my other friend had the spicy vegie pattie - both were quite good. However one friend had the french toast pannetone and it was soooo good, with the passionfruit curd - I am now planning to go back for this! We were also eying off the Persian love cake which looked delicious, but really couldn't fit it in after a big brekky.

Overpriced food and average coffee. Well presented space, good nooks and friendly, but inexperienced staff. I ordered a traditional long mac and was asked if i wanted it topped up (?) i responded with no. Alas, when it arrived it looked like a slightly strong latte. Unfortunately our Table was not cleared until our drinks arrived and a fork arrived unclean. Food - fruit salad at 15 dollars was fresh with nice yoghurt and zingy passionfruit. The mango cheek was left on the skin and was tasteless. Roasted tomato with prosciutto and goats cheese on sourdough combined some classic flavors but arrived dry with some olive oil drizzles meekly on the plate- it's no good there people! This place has a great deal of potential but unfortunately misses the mark in more ways than one. I fear they are catering to the older generation of milky capoucinno sippers and their grandchildren.

So cute!. My bf and I headed to the Little Stove on Monday morning to fuel up for an afternoon uni exam, and it was lovely. The interior is colourful and quirky, the selection of drinks is fabulous and the service was prompt. I had a green tea, which was a nicely generous serve for the price, and my boyfriend had a 'malted monkey' which was a malted mocha frappe with banana - so yummy and decadent. Our meals came quickly and were nicely sized - the asparagus, smoked salmon and poached eggs was lovely and fresh and nicely adorned with lemon juice. <br/><br/>The only downside I could see was that between 8:30am and 9:30am it went from being a lovely quiet, mellow cafe to having three separate groups of mums with young boisterous (loud!) kids. I have no problem with kids at cafes, but the inside of the Little Stove echoes a lot so if you want a quiet breakfast and peruse of the paper, remember to sit outside.

Fabulous staff and atmosphere but average coffee and hexy prices. The staff make this place. They're friendly, efficient and very professional. I camped out in the cafe for a good three hours working on some writing. They were more than happy for me to do so, and I tried a flat white; the baklava; and a Turkish coffee in that time. The flat white was very average and the baklava stale. Boo. The Turkish coffee was lovely, but a bit of a mistake on my part as it kept me wired until 1am! The coffee was an average price (for Perth) at $3.80 but I felt the baklava at $5 was a bit steep. Likewise, the Turkish coffee at $5 was hexy. If they change their coffee, I'll be back! If Little Stove reads this, perhaps consider a local coffee such as 5 Senses; Fiori; or Rumbra?

High (tea) time you tried this out!. Important things you need to know about this cafe...<br/>Everything us made in house and where possible, local and/or organic produce is used.<br/>Coffee uses Bannister downs milk, check and oh my, they use the Bannister downs cream?! I'm sold<br/>49 (from memory) different tea blends to select from to boot!<br/><br/>Hot chocolate in miniature glass milk bottle are just way too cute, mismatched tea china, homemade crumpets, scones,<br/> pastries, tarts, the list goes on!<br/><br/>This is a homely creation, which can be noisy at times due to popularity (most likely over the food), wooden floors and the banter that occurs probably because you feel so comfortable, like you've just popped over to a friends for a spot of tea and a good gossip and you get a little carried away with the noise level. <br/><br/>Baby and dog friendly. This was a real hit with a table of 14 and everyone walked away extremely satisfied. <br/><br/>Heading down to try catch a late breaky now! Yum :)

Perfect Place For Winter! If you want a nice cozy, homely place for winter, here is your perfect place! When you walk through the doors you get a warm feeling, not only from the fire place but the lovely atmosphere of little stove. As you walk to the counter you get greeted by the friendly staff who seem to know what they are doing and have a passion for it as well. Let's just keep this between you and me but I actually came for a late breakfast and ended up staying for lunch as well. I ordered a coffee and Semolina porridge at the beginning. It came out quickly and oh my god it was amazing. The rhubarb compot was the perfect addition to a warm breakfast which has also warmed me up and has put me in a great mood! Before you know it I had read my book for about an hour and spoken to a lovely staff member about different teas and coffees available and I found myself looking at the lunch menu and noticed a daily soup! I looked at the clock and it was 1pm, the kids were still out for a couple of hours so I said why not. The soup was roast pumpkin and it was served with toasted baguette. It was delicious!!! I had to order another beautiful coffee, so by the time I had finished I thought I need to take a trip to the gym because man I am full! Overall amazing, affordable food and a nice strong coffee and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy and homey! An amazing cafe, the perfect place for winter!

So much noise!. The coffee and breakfast were fine - nothing wrong but nothing to make me want to go back.<br/><br/>The noise was astonishing. A Ship To Paradise. I ventured to the small island of little stove the Sunday just passed and were attacked by a group of pirates who have already taken over the land...<br/><br/>Actually I went to a little hidden cafe in the center of Bicton, by the name of Little Stove. It was Pirate Day at the stove, where all the staff members and the cafe had a pirate theme to raise money for the people who have endured the flood in Carnarvon. But charity aside, Little Stove not only has a heart for helping, but they also have a heart for customer service and great quality food and drinks.<br/><br/>My family of 6 was quickly catered for although it was a busy Sunday, we were greeted with a smile, and hello on our entrance, when we sat at the table, at the counter and had a lovely conversation with the one of the pirate girls. A cafe who is always happy to have a conversation and wants its customers to feel welcome always has me coming back. <br/><br/>We had ordered a variety of drinks because our variety of family members. The coffees came, which were golden in colour, perfect temperature, because we asked for them hot and consistent all round. My children had milshakes and juices which were strong in flavour and worth every cent.<br/><br/>The food, well that was just to die for. They all came out at the same time, although they were ordered seperatly the staff at the counter made sure who was on what table and that everyone at the table had ordered before the order went through. The eggs were cooked to perfection, out of the whole family we had at least one of the poached, scrambled and fried. The bircher muesli was a delicious healty option for myself and my children loved the french toast and ham and cheese croissant.<br/><br/>After the meal we HAD to have a try of the most tasteful cakes around. We had the cheesecake, lemon butter cake, carrot cake, muffin, friand and monte carlo. All to a high satisfaction.<br/><br/>During our time here I notice everyone else experiencing a similar time to us. Little Stove is not just a cafe, its a place where the staff want the customers to experience the very best, a place which is funky, different and warm. The charity Sunday dress ups, the welcoming feel and the friendly staff just make this the very best cafe in Fremantle and maybe Perth I have been to in a long time!

Relaxed Breakfast perfection. Im very skeptical of places who get lots of good reviews on the internet, my husband and i have though of of trying Little stove several times but just couldn't be bothered with driving SOR to try just to be let down like most of the breakfast dining experiences in Perth. <br/><br/>Well ill eat my WORDS <br/>My eggs were cooked to perfection my bacon was meaty and freshly cooked, My husband did the big stove and added salmon, tomatos and any thing else offered up. It was possibly the biggest breakfast iv ever seen It barely fitted on the plate. We did pay extra for the additions but were very happy with the result. My short mac was perfect and my husbands flat white was silky and smooth. The coffee is just as good as some of my favs in the CBD. The staff seemed quirky but really nice and not fake (thank god no snobby waitresses) Next time we will bring our dog for the drive - the place was packed full inside and out even in this heat (40+) lots of dog treats inside - like soap and dog polish?? what tha Serious animal lovers. We will return and i will now be less skeptical of internet reviews

Carol. I live North of the River and visit South on a regular basis and we discovered the Little Stove by accident, and what a find it was, every since then we have enjoyed a great cappaccino, plus eating there. We have been able to take along my little dog, they supply water bowls. We sit outside, the atomsphere and staff are so very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them and the food is just as good. I would recommend anyone to, even if they have to go out of their way, to go to the Little Stove, they will not be disappointed and please check out the trees out the front, where there are teasets and cutlery hanging in them, what a novel idea is that !!

Pretty Good. Had breakfast here with my lady friend and we 'didn't mind it at all'. The waitresses were all friendly and the coffee great. The crowd was a little annoying, what with the mothers and their little portable DVD players to keep their children in a zombie state. Apart from that; the 'full breakfast' was missing a few key ingredients, but everything was cooked perfectly. <br/>Charming place in the middle of suburban hell.

I went for the traditional long mac and it was perfect! my girlfriends soy flat white was also top notch. The food was super fresh and the bap was a cross between an english muffin and a burger sooo good. The trifle went out in a old style glass and tasted as good as it looked. The service was attentive but not too fussy, a very cool looking crew. this is by far the best breakfast we have had in perth for ages

I went for lunch and was disappointed. I got the chicken burger and my partner got the steak sandwhich, both came with chips and aioli. I must admit the chips were great, but the burgers, for the price of $16 and $17, were very average. My chicken was a bland and fatty thigh, and my partner had very ordinary steak in his sandwhich. He says he's had better steak sandwhiches at trucker's lunch bars. I'm not sure what they have for breaky, but not impressed with lunch!

I love this place and only wish I had discovered it sooner. Fantastic food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Could eat here every day (and have).
