Vines

"These brussel sprouts are heavenly" is not a sentence I thought I would ever say. Went here with my husband and 1 year old for my husband's birthday. Our food was amazing, the server was very nice. I was worried about accomodations for my son but they were all really nice and we all had a great time. It was a little noisy for our tastes, felt more like a bar than an upscale restaurant but the food made up for it. They have a great selection of wine, I personally enjoyed the sparkling rose. I definitely recommend!

As mentioned by other reviewers, the service was very slow. Yes, it was Saturday night, but we did have reservations, so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Waited about 10 minutes to order our drinks, another 10 to receive them. Excellent wine selection, as expected. Artichoke dip appetizer was very good. My main dish selection had to be changed because they were out of the pork tacos. I changed to the Chicken Florentine. Good, but the sauce was a but lemony for my taste. It took at least 45 minutes once ordered for our food to arrive. As we sat, I watched the two servers in our area literally running about, since they were under staffed. The manger did check on us once. Would recommend if you have a good two hours or more.

The first time I went, the experiencewas pretty normal, my friend and I ordered drinks and dessert and everything was fantastic. But this time...I am very disappointed in the experience tonight. Not only did it take over 15 minutes to even get a drink order, my table was forgotten about, we were provided no silverware or napkins when seated and then when I asked, what it appeared to be the manager, if I could have some utensils and napkins he questioned why... like really? They claim to be an upscale place... well your employees should be the same. The reason I left was because I saw the manager who questioned my request for a napkin, take a shot behind the counter with not only my waiter. So I thought, they obviously have better things to do. I was treated horribly and lifted (I did pay, I am not like that). I went across the street to, West Main Taproom. Much better service. I love supporting local small companies. Just not overrated, overpriced, under experienced wait staff establishments.

The food was very good our server was horrible. First, in a Covid world, why wear a mask if it’s below your nose while your serving. You want to keep the doors open and employed, make it safe for patrons to visit, eat, and assist your owners to keep the doors open. This is my second visit and our first waitress two nights prior was outstanding. However, with the chance being 50/50 or the odds of me getting a server who cares being very low...it was my last visit.

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Vines last night. The reason for the surprise is that I haven't been there in a year because the service was so slow in the past and I had terrible dining experiences every time I went there. I decided to try it again. Went on Thursday night when they offer 50% of a bottle of wine. Very nice touch. They have new wait staff that is very friendly and prompt. I had the salmon for dinner and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back again! I'm so happy that this establishment has changed its course and improved back to what it was in the past. It has such a great ambiance and location.
