El Sanguchetto Bakery

The pastry is great, very traditional. Milanesa sandwich not so much, tasteless, not Argentinean at all, more like Mexican. They even put cabbage on it, never done in Argentina! The mayo was tasteless, the meat more tasteless, though very tender. The meat empanadas were good. I will not go back unless I'll need to buy some imports.

This place is starting many changes, if you want to try a great Argentinean food, this is the place to come for a great breakfast or lunch. I would recommend the Milanesa a caballo for lunch, but there's many options to enjoy. The milhojas cake for desert is completely awesome too. As well for breakfast don't forget to try facturas o bozcochos. You must try El Sanguchetto ;)

First of all... this is not a fancy place. This is a restaurant I go to for lunch when I crave real Argentinian food and also want to buy some Argentinian products to bring home, like yerba, alfajores, tapas para tarta, etc. Price is ok, food is ok and I'll keep coming. The 1000 hojas cake is AWESOME, they have a big one and a small one, great for mate but addictive! Probably not the place to bring your gf to a romantic dinner.
