Happy Sushi

The place reminded me of the many restaurants I used to visit in Japan when I lived there. I tried the miso ramen, tonkotsu ramen, fried gyoza, a roll that was fried and some strawberry-flavored drink I believed to be infused with sake. The taste was so good! Similar to the flavors in Japan. The price was good, specially compared to other restaurants in the area (like Sandfish). I will definitely come back again.

I pass through Palm Springs a lot going between Phoenix and L.A., but I never took the time to grab some sushi 🍣 until now. The first thing I noticed was the service. Impeccable. Really. They held the door for me on my way out and welcomed me generously on my way in. They have a system of "shared" service so my sushi was brought by a different person that took my order. The fish was quality. Also, I prefer the true California Roll in Cali that uses the minced up imitation crab meat rather than the whole pieces everywhere else in the USA. If you know, you know 😂. I don't give out five ⭐ often because I like to reserve for places like this - an establishment that really goes above and beyond to make you happy. Happy Sushi! Awesome sushi! Loved the Fire Cracker Roll! The shrimp tempura and spicy tuna are so delicious and the spicy mayo (and added extra eel sauce) really topped it off great. The Chicken Gyoza was nice an crispy on the outside and moist chicken on the inside. Great dish to share. I tried a little of the Assorted Tempura (shrimp & veggies), also a hit!! The service here was fantastic and friendly! The ambiance is nice, casual and clean. Can't wait to come back to try more of their tasty looking dishes!! 👍😁👍
