Talay Thai

The Pad Thai was ridiculously sweet (like dessert sweet) and had almost no veggies. Soups were fantastic. Curries were pretty good but basic. Nice ambience and straightforward service. A little on the pricey side for the serving sizes. Automatic 15% gratuity added on parties of 5+ (and pretty sure it was added on top of the tax).

Well, I love Thai Food and pretty much try it wherever I go. Talay Thai is ok. The summer fresh rolls get cut into small pieces, which makes it super messy and hard to eat them because they fall apart. The service is good but the staff speaks hardly any English so asking anything, such as a lemon for your water is like pulling teeth. English is also not my first language so I have no problem with that. However, the server got really frustrated with me just for not understanding so it made the whole experience not as pleasant as it could have been. In the Pad Thai, the chef left the shell tails of the shrimp on, of course you cannot eat shrimp that way so while the food was steaming hot, before I could eat it, I had to “de-tail” the shrimp. I burned my fingers and the Pad Thai was below average. The noodles way over cooked, the sauce way too msg dominated, the dishes have virtually no veggies and egg. I have to admit, the Pad Thai was so challenging to eat, I did not finish, which is crazy because I love Thai food. Sorry Talay Thai, I wanted to like this place, but I left super disappointed. Meh! If you care about presentation, fresh ingredients and on point cooking, I am afraid this is not the place, at least not for the dishes I discussed here. Best of luck, but I will definitely not be back.

Was in a rush for lunch and ordered from here since it was on my way. Very good food and great prices. Ordered 3 star spicy and thought it was perfect. Usually medium at these places is still burning hot for me. Very good consistency. When I walked in to pickup my order someone immediately greeted me. Great food, service, and fast!
