Applebee's

I am rather patient. I have compassion and understanding of times when an establishment is short staffed. It happens. Its not the end of the world. However, Sunday evening, my party of 4, walked into the restaurant and were told it was going to be a 45 min wait. I scanned the dinning room, more than half the tables were empty. It was then explained they were short staffed. Ok, no problem. Another party came in and were told they had 60-75 min wait. That sounded odd. But I don't know everything. A few minutes go by and I notice that there are 3 employees standing with the girl who's taking names for the wait list. There was another guy sitting behind them, eating. Then 2 more in the dining room not doing much. The 4 directly in front of me stood talking, laughing, & just showing there was not a care in the world. I was very confused. If you're short staffed, why is there 6 total employees standing around doing NOTHING??? It wasn't a momentary pause while crossing paths with one another. It looked like they had nothing to do and was just joking around to kill time. I would have to say there was no manager in or maybe a very lax manager who shouldn't be in that position, and the employees had no desire but to do that absolute bare minimum, just above not closing the restaurant and going home. Won't be going back ANY time soon.

I called in to let them know what space number I was parked in and I was told that they would be out in a few. No problem but after 20 minutes I went inside and I noticed my bag of food with drinks just sitting there!!! So I just picked up my food and left! No one even greeted me!! To top it off my food receipt shows it was ready 10 minutes before I even went inside!! Cool food and missing dressing for my salads!! How lazy that they could not even bring out the food when it was ready! I mean really why offer carside service if they don’t want to do it!!
