Nice place with reasonable food at bargain basement prices

Lots of regulars around the bar. All very friendly. I took advantage of the over 60 recession busting menu and had a 3 course meal for £8. It was delicious 😋 thank you.

Good old fashioned pub with the bonus of great food. For those of us over 60 their recession busting menu is fantastic value and definitely helps make the pension go further with portions that won't over face you.

The staff was so friendly and a good atmosphere unfortunately I found that the food was a bit tasteless I would go back for drinks but not food

Great pub. The food was good. I had an early bird menu beef and stilton pie. This was for lunch. I was asked if I wanted french fries or chunky chips and normal or mushy peas. We actually got mashed potatoes and vegetables. Weird. We went on a Tuesday afternoon but it was busy. I had two pints of Thwaits bitter. Nice. Worth a visit.

Fantastic warm and friendly pub, with friendly and personal staff. Great service, fantastic food and drinks, and welcoming every time I go. Lovely feel to this local pub. Went the extra mile to put my flowers in water whilst we ate and had chats with the friendly staff after our meal 😀

Had a fantastic Father's Day breakfast at this cozy pub. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and the traditional pub decor added to the charm. All this at a good price too, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Friendly place generous portions and great tasting food and reasonable prices. I had the steak and ale pie the flakey was the best plenty of steak in the pie and tasty. We also had the battered sausage which was enormous and tasty.
