Easy going, relaxed atmosphere, Great tasting food, and kind service. 4 stars only because I wish there were a little bit more menu options. We had the wings, calamari, and bisque to start - all awesome. Scallops and shrimp and grits as entrees, also great. And finished with a French toast bread pudding! Definitely recommend stopping by!

This was a nice surprise. I was driving down the road and hungry and saw their sign saying it was fresh and local... I had a caesar salad with seared tuna. The tuna steak was easily one of the best I have ever had. The Caesar salad was also good and the dressing was fantastic. Unfortunately, they charged me the price of the salad plus the price of the tuna entree so my lunch was $44! (Truth is, I should have been more clear when I ordered.) Ambiance: 4 Food:5 Service: 5 (great, creative bartender) Value for Experience: 3 (very expensive lunch) While the price may deter you, I feel that if I'd been more clear about what I was ordering, things would have been different. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We loved Hooked! We came with a party of 10 at 5pm on a Tuesday night and were seated right away, but as our meal went on the restaurant filled up really quickly. Our server (I forgot her name...but she was tall and blonde - sorry!) was just the best, always checking in on us and helped to surprise someone in our party with a birthday. Apps: crab dip was awesome, so creamy. The pretzel bites were delicious too. Calamari was tasty as well (no marinara sauce - this is fancy calamari). Someone in our party said it was the best calamari they'd ever eaten. Bang bang shrimp was good - nothing spectacular and what you'd expect. Mussels were delicious! The red sauce with wine was to die for. Entrees: Took a little while to come, but they were delicious! Scallops were soooo good. I died for the cheesy grits on the bottom too. Only thing was it was a tid bit salty for my taste. Blackened mahi mahi was good, I just don't think I love mahi as a fish that much. The potatoes on the side were really tasty. Fish and chips - classic, fish was not seasoned much so make sure you dip a lot of tartar sauce for flavor. Cioppino was delicious - similar sauce to the mussel appetizer but without the wine taste. So much seafood in one delicious plate! We did not order dessert but it was someone's birthday so our server came with a candle and some vanilla ice cream for $4. Overall highly recommend this place for a delicious, fresh seafood meal in Ocean City!

First time there, thought reviews looked good. Food wasn’t bad—my son had some steamed vegetables that were great—but prices and portions are pretty abysmal. $24 for fish and chips, and my portion was two tiny slabs of fish. My son had practically the same portion on the kids menu. Service, atmosphere, decent taste. But plenty of good options down here with better prices and portions.

Whenever I’m in Ocean City I visit Hooked. I’ve been there for both lunch and dinner and it’s consistently good. I’d say it’s one of the best restaurants in OC. Food is simple and fresh. Last time I got the fish tacos, which were great. The cocktail menu and beer lists are also both spectacular. There’s a bar tender who’s been there for years and he’s always friendly and does a great job with the drinks.
