Sushiya

Great small sushi spot on the main strip of Nutley. This is the only place I order sushi from and have tried every sushi spot nearby but none are as good as Sushi ya. Great price, best quality, awesome taste. They never ever get my order wrong and are so friendly on the phone and in person. My boyfriend always gets their teriyaki platters, awesome value and taste as well. I’ve introduced this place to a few friends and they too have made it their sushi spot.

I placed an order on seamless. I arrived, and they said they had a big order and it would be a couple of minutes late. 5 minutes after I was supposed to pick up, they said they would be 15 more minutes. They hadn’t started my order. They also said my order was the big one. It was 2 sushi plates. Wish I could give a 0.

First time customer Phone ordered 2 avocado/cucumber rolls, 1 sweet potato tempura roll and a green salad for $19, reasonably priced. We are happy to support a small business at this time. We enjoyed the rolls, there was a small amount of Wasabi for the amount of rolls we had, could have had a bit extra. Will definitely order again and request extra Wasabi

Just bad. We ordered for delivery. My fiance had the chicken tempura that wasn't really tempura just badly fried? The shrimp tempura roll was also poorly fried and overly greasy. I guess they don't make a traditional spicy crab roll because I order a crab roll and asked to make it spicy. It was a chunk of imitation crab with something else rolled in that made it extremely spicy and some spicy mayo on the bottom. If I wasn't so hungry I would have just immediately ordered from somewhere else. Do not recommend.

This is probably my favorite place to get sushi in Nutley. The miso soup here is the first time I've ever tried it. I was about to 3 years old, and it's still the best I've ever had. I'm so glad to see this little shop thrive after all these years. I love eating sushi here. The people in the store are also amazing and always remember who I am.
