100% recommend Bonsai, service excellent and really friendly. Nice comfortable surroundings, really good value for this level of food. My daughter had been before and suggested it, glad she did because the sashimi was about the best thing I have ever eaten (seriously) and the miso soup was the best I have had. The only problem is there’s so much I want to try on the menu that I’m going to be in there far too often now!

My girlfriend and I came here for a quick dinner and loved the food. We both like sushi so ordered the massive sushi platter (Yokozuna) - which amusingly came as a decorative boat!
It was all delicious with great flavours, was fresh tasting and we'd definitely visit again!
I had the Aloe Vera juice which was very refreshing, give it a try.

Came with a friend - I had beef, udon noodles and spicy Korean sauce; she had duck, rice noodles and satay sauce. Excellent and clean restaurant; friendly staff and great portions. Definitely felt very authentic and gave me vibes of when I was in Japan. The create your own dish is defo worth a shout; good prices for students 2!!

Great food and reasonably priced. Visited about 6 times over the last 2 years and its now mine and my sons favourite restaurant. Waiting staff are pleasant and friendly and love their level of service.

Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Nottingham. Have had sushi at this place for at least 5 times and they never disappoint. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Japanese! 🙌🏻
