4chicks Cafe

We recently went here for takeout and they knocked it our of the park. The Nashville chicken and waffles was delicious and had a nice kick, and the beignets were of so doughy. Not only did it make for a great dinner — we also heated up the leftovers in the toaster oven the next morning for breakfast. Simple scrumptious!!!!

So I went to 4Chicks years back for brunch and it was wonderful, but have not been back since having moved out of the area. By chance I was in Newton and heard they were doing dinner so I stopped in with my girls. Wow. Just, wow. First, what a lovely family that runs this place. Sweetest people you'll meet. Second, holy moly is the food good. The girls had waffles and I had a veggie burger and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we had had in a long time. Beignets for dessert were top notch and better than the ones I had in New Orleans! Restaurant is small and has a lovely style to it. I implore people...I know Newton isn't exactly the heart of North Jersey...but don't pass up an opportunity to stop here. You won't regret it.
