Charlie's Restaurant

This truck stop has great food AND an area for truckers to eat. Which is awesome. Breakfast buffet on sat and sun was really good. The lasagna was great!! Not a five because even with the dining room HALF empty they were letting locals sit in the BEST seats in our area! There are only a few booths and being we are stuck in our trucks all week most of us would prefer booths due to more comfort!! Several were elderly and obviously felt that was their regular room. PLEASE if you are going to have a section for us.... save it for us or at least save the booths for us!! These locals have a home. Myself and some of the others do not!!! Forgot to add... their showers are great!! Newly remodeled by the looks.

Not sure about the other reviews on here but we came out to try this place because of a friend's recommendation. It's a diner style restaurant with some homestyle meals. Since they were understaffed we decided to be extra patient with the seating and getting our orders. Honestly it only took a few mins for our drink orders to be taken and our food came out in a reasonable time for a restaurant (20 mins or so for 2 chicken frieds and 2 pork chops, all with sides). Our waitress Skylar (spelling?) was very attentive and friendly, which is very important to us! I've seen other reviews complaining about no coffee refills but we were there for lunch (around 11:30 or so) and my mom was able to get however many refills she wanted.. Overall it was a nice experience and I'm glad we made the drive out to give this place a try. Edit: Oh! And the rolls were certainly NOT hockey pucks! 👍

Cool little diner at the truck stop. Decent selection on the menu and a truckers seating area which was pretty cool. Staff was polite and friendly and the service was great. Food was pretty good as well but probably could have been a little better. Planning to stop in my next time through here. Also if you're a driver and want a little exercise you can walk to the towns historic district from here.

The food and service was amazing. It was our 5th wedding anniversary my wife knew. she could have her choice of any restaurant and she choose Charlie's. Great value well priced. We were going to have dessert was little earlier than we are used to eating so we had to hold off on dessert. Our drinks ever below half full. Definitely not the truck stop restaurants I remember going up. They had good food of course a big thing was very clean.

Serve was good... Food was good.. Prices were good... Excellent place to stop during your travels. We had the buffet of fried chicken, roasted turkey, mashed pots, stuffing, green beans, corn and bbq ribs. All was very tasty. The salad bar came with it and it also was good. 2 kinds of soup, good, and tea or coffee included all for $14 bucks.. The sweet tea was excellent btw!! It's a highly recommend and definite return for us!!
