Excellent food and service, friendly staff. Greeted on arrival and made to feel valued and welcome. Variety of seating and sauces at each table. The menu was easy to follow and place orders. Takeout and phone order options available. Have had both dine-in and takeouts and the quality and prepared times were consistently excellent. I can see why they have sold 500k+ dumplings. Must try for dumpling lovers

Nothing but positive feedback for this cafe. The flavours of these dumplings were delicious and reasonably priced too. The sauce on the steamed dumplings was full of flavour and the pan fried dumplings have a crunch exterior which is nice to have.

Good portion of dumplings, I have beef and onion and chicken flavoured. They were very tasty. The service is average and can be done better. The ambience is casual.

Always delicious! They've got a large variety of pan-fried, steamed, and wonton dumplings. Vegan available. Great sauce variety. The atmosphere is casual and modern, great for a quick stop or a nice dinner. It seems popular for takeaway too.

I work nearby and chose to come here often for lunch. The service is always awesome, the atmosphere is lovely, the prices are affordable, and most importantly the dumplings are always fresh, hot and beyond delicious. Jay's is the talk of town. Every local I know who has been loves Jay's Dumplings. Whenever someone new moves to Nelson, I make sure their introduction to local highlights includes Jay's

Arrived near closing time (at 2 and they close at 2:30) but there was no problem at all.
The waitress was very kind. The service was quick . Very well presented and juicy and tasty.
Ordered Classic BEEF Onion Dumplings (12) , Jumbo Crispy Spring Roll BBQ Pork (1) , PAN-FRIED DUMPLINGS Juicy Pork w Cabbage (12) , a ginger beer $42,47.

I ordered this via door dash and was surprised how quickly it came. My order was piping hot and super fresh. The crispy bottoms were phenomenal. I am so blessed that you have vegan options! Would love to see more vegan flavors available

These dumplings are so juicy and YUMMM! I tried 1 of pan-fired pork&prawn and 1 of steamed juicy pork. Well, both were so good at reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Good atmosphere. Relaxed and pleasant staff

A cool, stylish place to get some scrumptious dumplings. In the open storefront is a bench and four stools looking out on the street, offering a cool breeze and the occasional people watching opportunity.
There’s a little wait since the dumplings are made from scratch. I had the Chicken with Carrot, Sweet Corn and Peas Steamed dumplings. They were a little spicy for my taste but delicious nonetheless.
The relaxed ambiance and friendly servers, along with the tasty dumplings, make this place a treat!
