Boston Chowder Cafe

I didn't have a bad experience. Service was friendly. Food tasted good, average, but, good. I ordered the lunch special, Panini with soup and salad or chips. I had a Caprice, tortilla soup and chips. You are given a device that let you know your order is ready. I'm not certain how often they wipe down the tables, but, the one I had was okay. Large assortment of gelato. Price for my meal wasn't too bad. I priced it a few other places and they can cost as muchfor just a sandwich.

My rating is at a 2.5 today, but am willing to pop up to 3. I look forward to trying their gelato as it has always looked very good. My last order their was for 2 crepes, one a savory crepe and one was essentially a desert crepe. As someone who is used to excellent crepes from the Paris Creperie in Brookline, I must say this was a bit of a disappointment. Both were just too dry and sadly just dry enough to make me regret the purchase. They actually got my desert crepe wrong as I ordered the chocolate and they gave me the nutella. The portions were very good and the temperature was just right. I would NOT make a special trip for these crepes, and in fact, I would be a bit embarrassed to get them again or to recommend them to visitors. Since this restaurant is in the middle of the Natick Mall, and in an open area, it's great for relaxing from your shopping, and there are plenty of seats and it's all very, very clean. I believe they have a decent menu though not an extensive one, and I will go back for their gelato and then adjust my review accordingly.

This place is not bad. Good for a quick meal at the mall. Don't expect anything fancy. They do have a great special for 8.50 that comes with soup salad and panini. I got the Texas chicken panini and it was average. It wasn't grilled chicken or anything but still tasted alright. Their chicken tortilla soup is actually pretty good.

If you crave for Italian ice this is the place for gelato 🍧! They have any flavors you want from strawberry 🍓 to tiramisu! I truly Love their Gelato! In addition to their gelato 🍨, they also have French style crepes with savory or sweet crepes freshly made to your order! There are ample seatings to enjoy your lunch. Their shakes are also delightful.

Horrible! Their (so called) paninis consist in two toasted bread slices with some cold content in the middle. I mean the tuna or chicken was stright from the fridge and placed between the bread slices. I have a different notion of panini. I complained to the local manager and he said that it's the end of the day, people tired, offered to return money. I didn't need that.

No menu available (I guess they think everyone has a phone that can scan not a good assumption) and no hours were posted any where around the place. They forgot my iced tea and then the iced tea tasted like coffee, it was undrinkable. My crepe was mostly cheese which was just one ingredient in this crepe. but it was way too heavy on the cheese. So poor communication, bad service...this place used to be good now it's mediocre

I like the savory crepes, however the new menu (available by scan code, none posted) doesn’t include calorie counts and nutrition info. The menu used to give this info and I know there was a distinct difference for items, so that means I will be less likely to eat here in the future. I mentioned to employee but he couldn’t help with this info either, even if it is available elsewhere.
