Amazing Catering!!. Had a large event and got chicken tenders and mixed chicken and had best experience with Harold's. The food was amazing-not too hot and great quality. They brought everything needed for the event with them and can't beat the cost. Would highly recommend Harold's to anyone that has an event to cater here in Nashville and will use them again for sure.

Tiny shop with, at the very least top 5 taste in the overly crowded Nashville Hot Chicken market. Plenty of selections to suit different tastes. Everything from just fried, to insanity (hot WILL make you sweat)! My only take away is part of the appeal of this chicken shack. You CAN call ahead to place an order. HOWEVER...they will NOT begin cooking your order until you show up. Meaning you are waiting anywhere from 25-30 minutes for your order. The wait is worth it as the food is fresh and tasty when you get it.

I am not sure why this place, at this time, has a 3.9 rating. It is a great hole in the wall spot that serves delicious chicken and fish with their own unique blend of seasonings. I had the chicken sandwich and found it to have a great pop of flavor with smallest touch of heat. Just as I hoped for the barely medium level of heat. My food was hot, hot, hot off the grill! I found it to be well drained and not sticky. Service was GREAT! Very friendly and polite. Definitely a local spot; but for the quality of food and value of price should draw in more tourists.

Harold's Hot Chicken - 3 tenders Hot. Cayenne forward dry spice. NHC Hot heat level. Lacked sugar and chili powder. Rather one dimensional flavor profile. Chicken was cooked well and generous plump juicy tenders. It was sign city at the counter. Someone needs to surrender the label maker. Suitable to eat in/take out. Call ahead ordering would be a must. SMOKES -2 out of 3

Food was great! I ordered the medium Hot Chicken tenders and Catfish, and they had the exact kick I was looking for. A little disappointed I had to pay $1 for a side of pickle slices (I love pickles w/my hot chicken), but they gave me quite a large cup so I guess it was worth it. Honestly ordered WAY more than I should’ve, but I had to try both the chicken and the fish. I think they forgot about our order, because it took 20min to get food. However when they realized it, they were very apologetic! That is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars versus 5. But the food was definitely worth a 5!

Not from Nashville but wanted some authentic hot chicken. Saw this place and thought it would be perfect. Had never had hot chicken so we went with medium......it was still extremely spicy. You have to be crazy to get the fire! Juicy hot and spicy chicken. Took a bit to cook but glad because it was super fresh and hot. Definitely recommend.
