Always one of my favourite places to go when in Murwillumbah. great coffee, amazing service and consistently great food. I'm glad they're only open for dinner once a week, because otherwise I'd be eating their pasta daily!

I think I might have just had the best coffee of my life at Bacaro, downtown Murwillumbah in the beautiful, verdant Tweed Valley. This local dining hotspot is in the Art Deco M/Arts Precinct, under the eves of the old Regent Theatre. Run by a young Venetian couple, dinner is also excellent. Simple menu full of classics, cooked with skill and love.

The coffee here is alright, but I don't think the speciality is coffee anyway.
The service pretty much needs a lot of work. The waiter is slow and not enthusiastic. Even after asking for water from multiple people working here, I eventually didn't get it.
It is also unclear whether or not there is table service here.
Finally, I don't think the Google maps location here is correct. But oh well, this is something the restuarant needs to keep an eye on.

Fantastic authentic Italian food and service!
We were told about this restaurant by a few people and so it was on our “must visit” list and we were not disappointed!
A spontaneous trip resolved in us making it to the restaurant just before they stopped serving lunch but the staff was really kind and offered us some food. When food arrived it was a simple meal but so much flavour and so beautiful made! This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to.
We will definitely be back to try out other dishes on offer!
Thank you for your hospitality!

My gnocchi was frozen and cold in the middle :(. The pasta my partner got was nice tho.
The servings are pretty small and we had to ask for basics like for cutlery/the waitress kept forgetting whatever we asked for.

Simple Italian done extremely well. You can taste the effort the chef has put in. We had the calamari as entree and I was expecting the generic salt and pepper squid rings but instead got whole baby squid in a tomato based jus and you could taste the ocean when eating them! So good! I had the duck which was okay but I should of gone with a pasta dish as I had food envy of my friends Gnocchi.
Love seeing this space being transformed into a lovely place to eat. Will come back.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly and professional team, a small selection of vegan protein bars to have with coffee or tea. Good sizes portions for brunch, great coffee. Located next to gallery and cinema, so handy meeting place.

Good cafe but it could be a good restaurant. Some of the ingredients are basic supermarket quality; tables wobble; main course vegies arrive during entree and then main course shortly after to keep up with the vegies. We had the duck which has been better on other occasions. Probably safer to stick with the more basic dishes. Good location and vibe and patronage and hopefully it will live up to its full potential.
