Sushin

if i could put zero stars then i would. this place doesn't deserve a single one. absolutely RUINED my birthday experience. my father ordered $100 worth of this scam of sushi as a birthday gift and it was only the thought that counted because this food was so sub-par. charged basically $10 a piece for sushi rolls containing each only 5 pieces and that is NOT stated on the menu. I called to question the volume of food received because of the amount of money spent and was yelled at even after I apologized and realized that the food was here, it was just EXTREMELY small quantities. I also ordered the teriyaki chicken plate and they CHARRED the sauce and proceeded to still sell and serve this item to me. I took one bite and almost threw up. I told them that I'd bring it back to have it exchanged for a fresh meal, but I didn't even want to go through the possible arguing after seeing all of these reviews about their horrible attitude towards paying customers. I will never eat here or recommend anyone to waste their money here again. OISHIYA on cason lane is MUCH better and the prices are much better as well. they have EXTREMELY friendly and understanding staff. i have never had a horrible experience like this at oishiya. EVER!!

I love the vibe of the decor and lighting. The sushi is decent. The rice to filling ratio wasn't very balanced. Unfortunately the service was slow and some servers acted erratic and confused with each other. We waited at the door for 30 minutes when there were empty tables and available staff. No one said a word until 20 minutes in. We were confused when three different servers served us and check up on us. I think the original server was moved to a different section out of nowhere by the owner (???) The younger Asian lady that served us near the end was fantastic and very kind though. That was the best part.

With a handful of visits over the course of several years, the experience here has always been well-enjoyed. Service is friendly and quick, with stopping by the table regularly just when you need it. The menu is large with a wide variety of eating options. The sushi is prepared nicely with both rolls both typical of other restaurants and unique to the locale available. The atmosphere is relaxing and generally calming. However, at times odd choices for music are made. Generally, softer and more ambient sounds may be more fitting. Overall, Sushin is a cozy pocket of Murfreesboro and one I wouldn't dream of losing.
