Open Circus

We had lunch here and the manager was incredibly rude to us. I ordered and paid from the QR code on the table and a waitress came to tell me that they didn't have what I ordered. I changed my order to something cheaper, but when I went to the counter to get a refund for the difference the manager told me it was the same price. I tried to explain that it was not the same price and he dismissed me saying there were other people behind me waiting to be served. I pointed out that he was being very rude and he told me I didn't have to come back if I didn't like it here. I finally managed to get the money back I overpaid and needless to say, I certainly won't be going back here. This guy has no idea what hospitality means and then he tried to complain to me about it?! What a joke! I gave it two stars as the coffee was good, but the service was terrible.

Horrendous customer service and average food. I generally only leave good reviews but this place was terrible. Their platform accepted an order for dinner however when I turned up the place was closed. Ok, no problem, inconvenient but I can see how places would forget to switch off their pickup platform when closed. I politely messaged them asking for a refund for the food I ordered and received no reply. The next day I called them on that same number and they picked up (so I assume they saw my message but didn’t reply) and when I explained the situation they flat out hung up on me! They also hung up when I tried to call them back. I ended up sending them a second message just pleading to refund my money for the dinner we didn’t have and still didn’t get a respond. I would have been satisfied with a message saying they were busy and would look in to it but for them to hang up on calls and not respond indicated to me that if they ignore me they could get away with some free money. Finally I called the payment platform service who told me they contacted the venue and spoke to an extremely rude manager who also dismissed them. Based on this, the payment service told me they would kindly refund me my money and limit their dealings with this restaurant in the future. Just a quick message of acknowledgement would have taken 10 seconds. Either they were just so unnecessarily rude or had planned to steal my money.

Really friendly staff, good fresh quality food. We were having take-away Mexican every week during lockdown and it helped us survive the monotony. I think the quality has dipped ever so slightly recently, but perhaps it was just an off night. Definitely grab a cocktail, they are awesome and the staff are genuinely great.
