My Office

Debbie the bartender/cook/waitress is all too wonderful. She'll whip you up a new delicious homemade meal every single day. Every day the special changes, and she'll give you some nice drinks to match. These drinks are cheap for downtown drinks, and they'll put a smile on your face. Truly a nice little haven of old Milwaukee right in the heart of downtown.

Had a few hours to kill before seeing a show at Riverside theater. This bar was a quick walk from the venue. I was intrigued by the name and it had decent reviews so I went to check it out. I got there right at opening on a Saturday night. Not sure of the exact time but I think it was around 6pm. Owner was cool. Said I could go inside. He made me a drink while he opened up the rest of the place. I was the only person for about 30 minutes. Made small talk with the owner and we watched Jeopardy. It picked up a little bit before I left. I liked the vibe and feel of the place. Definitely really divey but it added to the charm of the place. Drinks were decently priced for how I feel downtown Milwaukee drinks should be priced. I want to say it was around $3 for a pint and the same for a mixed drink. I will definitely come back and visit again next time I am in the area.

Hole in the wall, corner bar or dive bar... however you want to label my office, the bartenders are good people that make sure their guests have a good time. I was jonesing for a gyro at dinner after a few beers. The bartender said they didn’t have them, so I should call across the street for take out and bring a meal back if that’s what I wanted. I did and shared with my new friends. Cool people. Great place. Awesome town.
