Colonial Diner

Stopped in late evening on a motorcycle trip. It was near closing time but nothing was said. I didn't realize it was closing time until after a few other patrons left. I asked about getting my food to go so they could close up and go home. They refused. I was told to take my time and enjoy my meal. I was greeted warmly and seated quickly. Service was excellent and quick. Food was hot and plentiful. I well definitely stop in next time I'm in the area.

The meal was great. Portions were huge. I would have given the establishment 5 stars but the attitude of the hostess stopped me from doing that. As we first entered she was vocally rude to customers. She continued to make comments while we were eating. You could tell there was tension between the staff. When we were ready to leave I asked for a piece of cake to go and was told I could not purchase one because the owner’s daughter was taking the almost full cake home. The waitress repeatedly apologized because she could not sell me a piece. It obviously was not her fault. I later found out the rude hostess was also the owner’s daughter. The owners should really rethink who they chose to represent their establishment. Not good for business or potential return customers.

We love this place and have been coming here for 10 years. They have seen our kids grow up, we have had many celebratory meals here and today was no different. Celebrating 22 years of marriage with family. Owner Ms. Vicky gave us strawberry cheesecake to take home and Christian the host paid for part of our meal.
