Burger Island

I had high Hope's after hearing Burger Island was under new management. The place definitely was nice looking and cleaner. The guy who took my order was very friendly. I asked for grilled onions, they could have been cooked a little longer, but were ok. The burger itself was a little bland. The fries were the worst part of the meal. They were cold. I did get it to go, but the fries were not even warm. Overall, this place is much better with the new management.

Oh no. They changed management :-(. It's more expensive, the chicken Philly is dried out (used to be nice juicy chunks with loads of mushroom). And the bread is burnt! I'm so sad! I even asked the guy, where was the lady that used to be there, and the Caucasian husband. He looked shifty and acted like he has always been the owner. Don't lie. If you lie about this, what else. Probably not coming to this place again. So disappointed.

When my family and I lived near the Mesquite area, we used to frequent the Burger Island quite often. But since moving out here we haven’t been in a long time. Well my family and I decided to visit today. I had a strong craving for my Burger Island favorite, the Hawaiian Burger. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the very friendly and accommodating owners. I was waiting on my wife and kids to arrive and he was very nice telling me take a look at the menu while I wait. I was glad to see my favorite burger on the menu, so naturally I ordered it. When it came to the table it wasn’t the same as I remembered. So the taste wasn’t the same. It wasn’t bad, it was just different. The first being ringed pineapple instead of flattop grilled pineapple niblets. Like I said it was t bad, just different. Would definitely love to come back. Would I eat the Hawaiian again? Probably not. But they had so many wonderful choices, I’m sure there is something else I can add to my list of favorites. Horrible food, ordered through uber and got raw chicken but I didnt realize it until I had eaten half of it already. Now I'm throwing up and might get salmonella which is totally fun. On top of this, when we drove there to show the manager what had happened, he ignored us for a few minutes and when he finally got to us, he had an issue with another customer's food which I assume was also raw which he threw away and then rudely walked past us into the kitchen without an apology or anything.
